Hello, everyone! My name is Crystal, and I'm just about the loudest person you'll ever meet. Currently, I work at a Toys "R" Us, but I hope to go back to school as soon as I can afford it (without accruing a lifetime of debt) to become a teacher. Despite my boisterous personality, my interests are rather boring: I like to play with odds and parametrics, I play video games for the sole purpose of finding and abusing glitches, and I like making pixel-art animations. I'm on Pacific Standard Time (GMT-8 ) if anyone's actually interested.

My favorite Captain is Sisko, my favorite character is 7 of 9, and my favorite series is Voyager. I found this community through a Reddit thread talking about a Minecraft server you peeps run. Unfortunately, though, I won't be able to join them until my computer situation improves.

Sorry for the delayed response. Signing up for thos inspired me to rewatch some of Voyager. Could someone point me towards te conspiracy theorists' corner here? I'd love to hear what they have to say about the godhood of a certain psychic girl.

My computer has an acute case of belonging-to-someone-else-who-kinda-cut-me-out-of-her-life. Not exactly curable, but I do plan on replacing it ASAP. Nice to see someone else who appreciates the members within the collective, by the way.

Thanks! Happy to be here, though I'm still trying to figure out what this community is. You guys seem to do anything and everything Trek-related.

I sure hope the meganerds (aka the people who know more than me) find it there. I mean, I'm a filthy casual, so I'm sure they'll pick it apart and tell me everything wrong with the question, but at least I'll get my answer.

Ah, yes, that is quite problematic, I'm sorry. What sort of budget do you have for a PC? You could shop around for some second hand parts if you are able to build it yourself as well. And yes, you could say, I joined the collective once

Thanks to the whole holiday season thingie, I don't have a budget for that quite yet, but I'm going to build one on one of those sites that lets you custom-build computers in January. I want a powerful CPU and I don't really need a ridiculous GPU, so I'm pretty much opposite most people. That's an adorkable borg icon, by the way. Is there a list of the icons anywhere? While I'm at it, is there a list/guide to your formatting?

Thanks everyone, I actually feel welcome here. Other sites just overwhelmed me, but you guys took the time to (for lack of a better term) give a crap.

GPU you can get a nice midrange one that won't cost a lot, just need to ask around on what the best would be, going several generations back will still give you a good GPU!

I don't think we have a guide on formatting or a list, but for the emoticons, just click the smile button above the post input box and it will bring up a box, or in the advanced post view, on the right hand side, press the [More] button and you'll get a full list!

Welcome to UFP Crystal! Hope to see you around sometime, I play alot of STO and SWTOR mostly, lately been kind of off and on dealing with real life work and all and don't have a computer yet

Glad to have you here, once you get your computer you should check out some of our events

Oh and I like to make a lot of comments in game and on forums related to Doctor who, which is my favorite TV SHOW!

Good to meet you. I'm a teacher, too. Favorite captain is Picard, character is Spock and favorite series is TNG with VOY and ENT following closely.
