Elite Strike Force - Reports and Chat 2016

This area is for community members, especially members of the Elite Strike Force, to post regular reports on Special Task Force runs, end game content runs, and general chat. This is primarily for ESF members, but all participation is welcome and encouraged!

Special Task Force Reports

Special Task Force missions are the Elite Strike Force's bread and butter, and as such they get a special report that separates them from the rest of the pack. Recruits are expected to fill in at least one Special Task Force Report per week, and the quality of said report will be examined for content and use of language, so please take them seriously!

Special Task Force missions specifically continue the Task Force Omega story line, and are limited to the following missions:

Mission reports can be about any end game content. The content of these is open to the members, and is greatly encouraged because it shows participation, even when timezones do not allow for folks to be readily seen. So let those creative juices flow: Stories, itemized details, poems... anything is fair game!

Mission Report

Date: STF Friday .02012016

Mission Locations: CCA, CPA, GGA

Team: Catalina @Rosalina, Keenan @jtyme77, Robflenke @roberthf7

Description: Managed to find a couple allies to join my patrol during the start of the new year. First we though it fitting to fight a giant snowflake in CCA. There were no records broken, though did get defeated fairly quickly. Cat never ran the new Counterpoint mission, so we ran that mission next. Unfortunately Rob got kicked out of the map, and had to four person the match. It took a little longer, but we persevered. With us needing Iconian marks, we ran Gateway to Grethor. There we found some rogue Heralds attacking QonoS, and got the first optional completed. We got a number of shuttles of warriors to the surface, though an Iconial probe deleted our records on how many. The dreadnought came through at the end and was defeated with few casualties on our end.
All in all, some good runs and look forward to seeing more join us next week.

MISSION OUTCOME:
We managed to get a full team and got a number of good runs in tonight. Crystalline went pretty quick, then we ran Counterpoint for Terran Marks. Someone needing Romulan Marks we gave Azure Nebula a try, we missed the second optional due to not enough high scoring ships spawning but got our Marks.
Then we put our boots on and saved QonoS from a renegade Herald attack, and a Romulan Starbase under siege by the Elachi.
Very good runs tonight, thank you to those that attended and hope to see you next week.

Sorry I missed it. Fell asleep on the couch about a half-hour before it started and did not wake up for five hours. I'll try to do better next week.

MISSION OUTCOME:
We managed to get a full team and got a number of good runs in tonight. Very good runs tonight, thank you to those that attended and hope to see you next week.

Gateway to Gre'thor (A) / Infected (A) / Crystalline (A) / Khitomer (A)

MISSION OUTCOME:
We started of with Gateway to Gre'thor and to 0.5s we almost made all optionals. Second up was an ISA so some of the team could get a sense of the amount of damage they were dealing out. Sadly even our most valiant attempts worked to no avail as with the second generator we lost three (3) team members due to enemy fire, meaning to optionals were out of our reach. Third was a Crystalline, which we obliterated (o yeah, those other 15 captains helped a bit too...). Last up Vortex, where Chase took point to intercept probes left and right, while the rest of us concentrated on blowing the other stuff up. This time a 100% score.

MISSION OUTCOME:
First ESF report.. lets make it a good one! We started off with UAA to kick things into high gear. Brit brought a Vonph to tank the middle lane, Britsurfer died because he forgot to change his traits back from from his torpedo traits
I brought my tac oddy on my engineer to test a new tanking build it held up pretty well. I was placed in the bottom lane along with Isaac, the mission went smoothly.

Next up we completed Bug Hunt in under 10 minutes.. this mission is sooooooooo easy so there not much to say really expect that we trapped Vandaveer in some cover shields and discovered he can teleport! :emoticon_ShiftyEyes

After bug hunt I requested we do Hive ground on elite to practice the tactics. Nidrock put me in charge of the top ring, he said the teams should go counter clockwise from each other but I took my team counter clockwise and it seems I can't tell the time properly!

All went well until the end of the mission where some weird bug caused us to fail the optional. Nidrock was stood next to the green floor thingy and it failed the optional? Its a feature..

Hearld sphere next.. well what can I say? We SOMEHOW managed to fail completely even though 4/6 science ships were still alive?! *sigh*. Thanks Craptic!

The team still wanted to keep going so we decided to do GGA as I was in desperate need of iconian marks for my engineer. All I can say is Brits torpedo build... Oh my GOD that thing melts enemy ships!

Next we decided to do NSTD (Nukara Self Destruct Tendency) 3 of our including myself had never heard of this STF? We managed to make it wave 4/5 just barely missing out on wave 5 because the computer core exploded. Nidrock congratulated us because we did better than average for a first time run.

Finally we finished off with CCA. During the interrim I was opening some boxes and I got a Vonph Dreadnought Carrier. While I setting up the boff tray Nidrock had queued us. I didn't have time to finish setting up, so when we got in I just sprayed all my beams at and scored 3.4K DPS for all 2 minutes the STF went on!

Brit sadly died because of the lag and the overlord wave we couldn't heal him. He might have peaked over 100K DPS if we could have healed him. Very enjoyable runs this evening.

MISSION OUTCOME:
We warped in to check on a station that we had no contact with in a while and found out there was a Borg gate their. So we Destroyed the borg and sent the back to where they came. We then got word of a Undine planet killer attacking planets across the quadrant. So we put on our boots and pushed our way thru many Undine ships killing a few of their dreadnoughts and finally stopped the planet killer from killing the planet. After some time at the bar we got a call that Qo'noS was under attack by the Iconians so we rushed over and fought the Iconians that were in the city and killed a harbringer that wanted to get into the great hall to get on the wall of honor which no Iconian should be. After pushing them out of the first city we beamed to our ships and push the Iconians away from reinforcements that where heading to the planet and then finally pushed them out of the system after killing their dreadnought. while all of this was going on the romulans called and said a station was under attack by the elachi and a some ships where being held by the Tholians. So on the station we where rescue in the engineers when our friend Vivi got lost and we had to find him while saving the engineers we only lost one engineer. Lastly the Tholians where being a bother when we went to rescue the ships in the Azura nebula. the Tholians had tractor beams put in the rocks to capture any Romulan ships that were near by.

MISSION OUTCOME:
We had to rotates players in as the night progress. Not enough players at one time to complete 2 teams. A couple of players were new to Elite Ground SFT. We completed 4.25 running without a single mission failed earning 17 Elite boxes. Setting a new Ground Tour Monday record.
