While listening to random Star Trek scenes from across all different kinds of series, my YouTube autoplay came upon a video regarding Voyager's torpedo count. I thought it was interesting and entertaining.

When you factor in magic it balances back out.
This has always been one of my biggest issues with Voyager, how quickly the producers seemed to abandon the whole premise of the show. Originally it was about a crew comprised of two different factions stuck in deep space with limited resources, after a few episodes pretty much all of this seemed to be forgotten, everyone got on perfectly with the occasional bit of mountain out of a molehill drama ("One of those damn dirty Maquis took my name badge!") and their limited resources became limitless ("Of course alien race you can have all of our food, energy and our complete collection of Pezz dispensers").
The Equinox episodes were a bit of a glimpse of missed opportunities, a crew that have long forgotten policies and procedures who battle with difficult decisions about maintaining their beliefs and surviving. Voyager should have been at least a little more like that in my opinion.
For me Voyager was still entertaining but I found it a much weaker show than many of the other Star Trek series and a real missed opportunity to do something different.

I've seen this video before and its a good laugh, so many inconsistencies from each episode. In strictly soft canon, it is believed that Intrepid Class Starships were outfitted with 2 industrial replicators to assist in supply and relief efforts. It was supposedly located behind the main shuttlebay. So that could explain that after the fact..

If I'm honest, it did do some things differently. It was the first time in quite a while that we actually had a chance to see a starship go into the unknown. Granted, their supplies somehow did become limitless.
Personally, if you throw out a number like "38 photon torpedoes", you should follow it, or at least mention off hand how the problem was circumvented.

The music was of excellent choice for me, and well-timed with all those torpedoes firing!
But the Bana quote from 2009 Star Trek killed. me.

Issue with that is that they could replicate all the components they need to make the torpedo itself, but they lacked the ability to create the anti-matter needed to make the war-heads.

And I am sure just because Starfleet has a problem with weapon trading others and specially species in the Delta Quadrant don't have that issue.

I personally grew up watching the dominion war of DS9, Voyager and Enterprise and Voyager was my favourite for a long time, whilst it does have its plot flaws throughout the entirety of the series I like the idea that they don't have the might of starfleet to rely on and nothing but wit, intuition and a plucky ship - sounds all very British to me - back against the wall theory and all that!
With that in mind however I'm looking to see more of the direction enterprise took in the xindi war in the new 2017 series where episodes formed more of a sequential pattern rather than a random list of events strung together. I think this idea would have worked well for Voyager too, it is worth noting however that given the amount of battles and people dying in Voyager I think by far the biggest plot hole is how many crewman were seen getting killed versus how many actually were scripted dying!

I've seen this video before and while it does bother me a little about how the writers never stuck to the torpedo limit Voyager has some truly awesome episodes. (I'm going to forget that the episode Threshold even exists.)

That's what get you guys off? Really, torpedos? They can aquire more antimatter from trades etc later on so warheads shouldnt even be a problem, just replicate the rest if the have enough bulk material.
http://scifi.stackexchange.com/quest...oton-torpedoes
Seems that they were keeping count till like, season 4 or 5 though, after 5 years or so they probably established some way to replenish
I am ALOT more curious about Voyagers auxillary crafts, just how many shuttles does the ship carrys, is Intrepid a carrier in disguise? Heck they even made the Delta flyer. From scratch (though it explains the absence of the Aeroshuttle).

I don't think people's issue is with the fact that there must be a way to get more torpedoes I think it is that the writers set it up that they couldn't replace them and that it would mean they would have to use them sparingly but quickly threw that out the window.
It doesn't seem at all difficult to create more, a torpedo uses the same basic casing as a probe, the most tricky component would be the anti-matter but that's the same issue Voyager would have had with their warp reactor.

Didn't Voyager over their course had multiple different torpedoes that came from TV magic lol, but I still love Voyager.
In E1 you had the tricobalts to destroy the Caretaker array, then photons, then quantums, then bios with Borg help, then transphasic with future Janeway, and I'm probably forgetting one :p

I watched that video a couple of months back and I sometimes watch it again when I need a good laugh. Some of the comments on that video are hilarious too.
I think we can all agree though that the writers forgot or couldn't be bothered to continue with the whole "limited supply of torpedoes."
Oh, and
