Jolan tru survivors of the fall of the Star Empire!

From what I understand, we were going to have a third division with our fleet. One to represent the great star empire, but that it was abandoned after they announced that the Romulan faction was only to be a servant faction to one of the two main factions.

But what if we created a new fleet in game dedicated only to the restoration of the Star Empire? We could have everyone ally to one faction, but name the fleet with a Romulan title and only allow Romulan/Remans into it?

From an RP perspective, it could be allied to the Tal'shiar with the agenda of over throwing the Republic and returning the empire to glory?

Thoughts?

I too would love to see a Romulan centric division, however the main problem is that it was assumed the Romulans would be a standalone faction, since they can only ally Federation of KDF, it makes the whole thing entirely pointless since Starfleet Operations and the House of Kular tend to all the Romulans needs in game as they essentially share the same story and virtually are the same faction.

I've brought this issue up in the past and that is reasoning behind leaving The Imperial Guard as it currently is. However there is RP elements to be had from your idea, but the question I have to ask is "Is Romulan/Reman Only good for the community?" Surely since they either align Fed or KDF why not just join SFO/HoK's fleets?

It creates a logistical nightmare.

I understand the reasoning as I'm sure 95% of the player base is only interested in playing a character on the Federation side, and as a result it would be a serious challenge to have a fully functional Romulan fleet.

As far as they must be aligned, I say align with the Feds. But leave the fleet as The Imperial Guard. It could join the armada to receive FED support. The reason to have it Romulan only, is to simulate it being a full faction. I also think if it were a fleet based on the Tal'Shiar or even the Rupblic, that their ultimate goal would be to one day stand on their own two feet again. Their long history shows that they are a very proud people, not ones who would enjoy being a city state empire.

Might not be feasible, but the thought of STF's filled with D'class war birds gets the blood pumping. I also think it could lend to a lot of exciting RP events.

As I said your idea has some merit, you could always make a proposal and see how much support you can get?
