I enjoyed this episode. It was a break for the usual drama of Deep Space Nine, I enjoyed the storyline how Jake was right all along and that he would do anything for his father even die for him. It showed a true father-son bond between Jake and Sisko and thats something not many Trek episodes got to show with family in it.
I would rate the acting and music as amazing because this episode actually moved me to tears by the end, it really stirred up some emotional turmoil for me. I can't imagine what it must have been like for Jake having lost his father relatively young and not being able to come to terms with it because he appears at random intervals at different points in his life. He knows his father is alive and yet not here. I cannot imagine what that could do to someone so dependant on their father.
