Sorry, but I'm going to take that announcement with a massive grain of salt.

First source simply says that a reviewer is posting a review on the 6th. That doesn't confirm a release date, save for that dude's review.

You can't just spring up a release of a major game without at least doing closed beta-testing for bugs (They did totally revamp the entire control scheme, and the higher teir end-game content would have to be tuned for the fact that Controllers don't come close to Keyboard and Mouse) and an open beta for stress testing the servers.

I can confirm Priority One's news that its coming on Tuesday, I went to mission New York yesterday and they made the announcement during their panel.

PWE / Cryptic is all about big flashy announcements. The fact we've seen nothing official makes me highly skeptical.

They are completely separate, everyone will have to start again, although I do really hope my lifetime sub is going to be on console too.

this guy got early access and made a gamplay and he says it is comming on 6th for USA and 7th for Europe

Unfortunately it means that my interest has successfully waned

I was really hoping they were to be a joint environment, this means for me that STO on a console will be nothing more than a back up, which is disappointing as I was really looking forward to this (If my Lifetime sub and purchases all transfer I may give it a go).

Maybe in the future they will offer some kind of character transfer (like tribble), or offer a joint cross platform environment like most of the console on-line games are doing later this year.

On a side note has anyone seen a testing phase for the console release?
