Further more make sure you know what faction you are going to choose because some of the expensive consoles will be a lot cheaper on the KDF side than on the FED side for example the Dynamic Power Redistributor Module cost on the FED side 750 Million EC Vs. the KDF side of 7 Million EC.

So we went from legacy of romulus which had story content from lvl 1-40 to agents of yesterday which had content from lvl 1-10 and now a single story mission for jem hadar.

Honestly im looking less and less forward to victory is live with the unneeded mk 15 item increase which making rarity increasing for items a lot harder, p2w vanguard jem hadar ( yes, yes pvp is dead so p2w doesn't exist), possible less c-store romulan ships in the future while the romulan faction will become flat out superior to feds and kdf if they can use their endgame ships and no other playables races of the dominion like the vorta.

Is is that hard to copy the expansion structure of legacy, the true best expansion ever and just paint it dominion purple?

To be honest, I think yes. LoR was a great expansion, but it had a lousy end-game, not a lot of content for max level characters or content in general for the other two factions. And on top of that, once a Romulan character got past lv30 and moved to the Alpha Quadrant, the game became identical for all factions (with minior faction changes which only amounted to dialogue changes).

Now that they are adding a 4th pseudo-faction into the game, they're trying balance out the story for 4 different points of view which should be interesting.

But for me, Content-wise, the best expansion in terms of the most to do was Delta Rising, as it had the most for end-game characters to do.

LoR was not ment to provide much content for the other factions the point was to introduce the Romulans as a new faction and yes while they have to choose FED and KDF they are a faction of their own and with 30 exclusively Romulan missions you can't compare it with the other two new factions.

Delta Rising had 16 missions they have been shared with all factions, so seriously nothing special and less interresting than LoR.

In my first post i wrote true best expansion ever because i wanted to make a joke about an old quote from a dev ( i think it was either gecko who did quiet a lot of questionable things in the past like how all his favourite ships were overperforming or salami who was the new lead dev around that time and i think still leads their team in the present ) in which said dev claimed "Delta Rising was the best expansion ever and the players love it" since they sold lots of tier 6 ships and we all know money = succes, but at the same time they did massive amounts of damage at the endgame of the game aka queues.

People couldn't handle the spike of npc health and damage and the queues are since those days much more emptier. Even nowadays the player performance gap between your average sto player and experience ones is much more bigger when lvl 50 was the level cap.
Those empty queues also spawned another quote that the queue display was simply bugged which caused further anger with the player base.

Then we also had the spec points fiasco with romulan and delta patrols where the devs accused the playerbase of exploiting while it was well known that patrols and red alerts where major sources of experience points and stripped off players randomly of their spec points only to return the spec points after 2-3 weeks of unrest on all of their forums and social media platforms.
By the way i was also affected by it despite only having 10 spec points at that time.

Also another reason why people were and are still angry to this day was the introduction of advanced queues which were actually the former elite queues while a new elite tier was introduce but yet those new advanced queues gave nerfed amounts of dilithium while the new elite received the old elite rewards, but nowadays we have other sources of dili ore which filled the gap.


So yeah i disagree that delta rising was good for the endgame of sto because of very poor communication with the playerbase and the major changes of the nature of this game which was already quiet unstable, but people managed to ignore it since they love trek until that expansion.

While it doesn't have to do with endgame, bridger reminds me of his post that delta rising story missions also left a sour taste with many because you had to do multiple patrols inbetween the story missions with earlier mentioned much harder npcs which disrupted the story pace a lot.

I’m still on the fence about the ship pack, that £100 would have more use for me elsewhere right now so I’m leaning towards leaving it for now and waiting for it to eventually appear on the C-Store.

A few tidbits about the new Jem’Hadar faction from the stream...

Here are a few bits from Kael’s livestream...

Jem’Hadar Vanguard might be available to players via an as-yet-announced method

All Jem’Hadar characters get a T5-U Bug Ship (but it is different than the one in the Phoenix Pack, and does NOT unlock pets) and a new Jem’Hadar Fighter shuttle

All gear is Purple Mk XII, with no EC value (only got a quick glance at the ground gear, but they looked to have the same icons as the 2800 Gear Set)

Normal Jem’Hadar get 2 reputations completed (based on profession), JH Vanguards get three

You will get 3 R&D schools pushed to Level 15, also based on profession

There is more to the Ketrecel White addiction (a new mechanic), but more info on that soon

Looks like we get 2 purple BOFFs, 2 blue BOFFs, and 3 green BOFFs through the not-a-tutorial (no word on how to get more BOFFs yet)

There will Be NO Jem’Hadar LTS rewards*... at least at launch... they want to do them, they’ve talked about it, but not for launch (this is why you get access to all of your faction’s ships)

I was able to get two vouchers for the bug ship from the last Phoenix event, So I am set for my new toon to have the hangar pet if needed.
