I have the Jem'hadar Vanguard Carrier and Dreadnaught (most likely poor financial decisions ;P ) And it claims that once I reach master level 6, I can claim the ships on my other toons. Small question, is the "claiming" free?

But the main question is, does anybody have advice on how to gain ship xp the fastest? I'm already at mastery 5 for my carrier, but I need like 52,000 more to get level 6, and that seems like a lot.

Are there any raids, events, or missions that grant lots of xp?

Argala is a system in the Delta Quadrant that used to give (and still does) give some good ship XP. It varies which enemy type you get, but the best enemy is the Kazon. While its on Cooldown I'd recommend doing the Beta Quadrant run:

Archer System

So I did some looking into the Argala mission. I still need to do Sphere of Influence and the Dyson sphere intro. But I will definitely keep this in mind! I might do the Beta quadrant run will I try to "unlock" the Dyson sphere

Oh yeah... Looking into it, I have a looong way to go. I'm barely tier 1 of Romulan reputation, and I need 4 to get the prereq of the prereq of the prereq.

Argala is definitely the best, you can get to Wave 4/5 then warp out of system and it resets so theres no need to wait for the mission cooldown, I just did it today to get the cold-hearted trait on an alt, think I did it in 5 or 6 runs with the warping out on wave 4/5 and restarting, only had to restart it right at the beginning twice as it gave me hirogen (they use subneucleonic beam) its a pain when your A2B or don't have Science Team

Red Alerts are how I get my xp: Borg, Tholian only. Bump Tzenkethi because that can suuuuck depending on team, the others almost take little effort and really takes the longest amount of time of the three.

There is also Crystaline Catastrophe and Starbase 24 while waiting for cooldowns to refresh.

You could also get giggity and try a queue with a lot of mobs and the Mirror Invasion one where you have to defend DS9 and attack Mirror DS9 (can't recall name) can fit the bill but is also a little stressful.

Is there a general average of ship xp gained by doing red alerts? Just so I can know how many more I have to do? I have just 15000 ship xp left to get before mastery 6

Do the "higher-rank" ships give more XP for Mastery? I've never verified this, but it seem like I do better in Red Alerts when I ignore swarms of Probes, and instead prosecute the Cubes hard.

You don't need to a certain reputation tier to get to Delta.

On my Jem I just hit Skip on as many things as possible, and I think there may have a mission I had to do, then I was clear to be in the Delta quadrant.

Also yes, it's freely claimed from the C-Store on your other characters.

Yeah. I just did the xp circle, and red alerts. I have the carrier now, all I need to do is level the Dreadnaught. I found a way to create a Vorta starfleet toon, so all these Dominion ships are going to her
