The only personal Endeavor I ever had to use The Foundry for was the Tzenkethi ground.

Yea I never have a problem either. For Tzenkethi try 'Signs & Portents' there's more than you need on the last ground map; just a little exploration and scanning moons in first phase, and saving a few Alien's in Pod's in the second phase.

Still the reason I liked sometimes running Foundry, was some of the user created content, was actually 'amazing'.

Basically what probably happened is that Cryptic probably asked Perfect World if they could update Foundry or implement an update to it, but were told no. And if they couldn't update it, it might as well be shut down. Unfortunately how it goes. That's why they are saying "for the health of the company". They don't have the resources to rebuild it and they aren't going to get those resources from the parent company either.

I sometimes feel for Kael, it's not easy being the face of stupid decisions, especially ones that impact people's enjoyment of a game that's starved for content at Endgame. So now we have to run TFOs and rerun episodes ad nauseam. *slow clap* well done Cryptic.

That’s sadly how it’s been from the beginning, no matter who the “Face of STO” is they usually get stuck in the middle of bad decisions, I remember Branflakes did and all of the others after him. Kael is a nice guy, have chatted with him and the team quite a lot at ST: Las Vegas.

I think everyone needs to cool down a bit on this topic.

The appearance of the CM is not important, he's just the poor guy who has to deliver the bad news and deal with the inevitable outcome.
And I don't think we need to insult anyone who is posting on here, calling them a snowflake or a pillock either.

Best just draw a line under it all i'd say.

On topic though, I'd encourage all members to get out there and spread the word about the best Foundry content so everyone can enjoy it whilst it still exists. There are many, many great missions and stories that have been created over the years by a very dedicated community. I think we should all show them our appreciation by giving their work a last good send off, I know i'll be running a few of my favorites and trying some new ones too.
