Let's look at it this way - there's 10 new ships there with the consoles and the blah blah blah of the previous releases. Someone in the marketing side of things might argue it's great value for money but for a game of this age, it's not.

Odds are high that the vast majority of the player base, especially the older ones, already own the bulk of this content one way or another. 30K is the same as 10 ships purchased individually, but when you buy in bulk, the price should have a discount, that's basic marketing and you dont need a degree to get that concept.

As it stands, new variant or not, players are going to be paying a premium for included content they already have.

I did the math, at a conservative exchange of 245dil to Zen without the LTS DOFF mission, it would take 68 days to refine the 11,025,000dil needed.

Bundles are supposed to offer some kind of discount over buying each item individually. That's the whole purpose of bundling, to entice people to buy.

Offering the bundle at the same price it would cost to buy each individually defeats the purpose other than convenience.

Honestly I'm expecting there to be a bonus zen event the week these bundles are due to go on sale. I just did the math and the highest amount of zen you can buy is 24000 + 3600 bonus, thats only 27600 - 2000 zen short. I'm expecting some kind of sale to "sweeten the deal" as it were.. but thats £180 for the premium bundle..

Indeed. Im not sure what the fuss is all about really. I mean, Cryptic will probably end up selling these indevidually once they've been out for a while anyway and I honestly think for the 10+ (20 including the new skin for each ship) sale price of 19500 is acceptable considerinmg the work thats gone into these ships, plus the new traits. Im certainly going to go for it that's for sure.

It also goes against what they've done in the past.

The Delta Rising pack is 15,000 Zen with 9 T6 ships and a smattering of other goodies. The Gamma Vanguard pack is the same price with 8 T6 and 2 T5 ships with even better goodies.

This is purely price Gouging.
