Based on their past bundles, there's absolutely no way they can justify pricing the bundle at double the price of previous bundles with comparable content especially when most of the "20 new ship skins!" are recycled content from previous releases.

Very true, and its happend before when there's been a Zen sale etc, and give it time, they will probably do a huge summer sale on it also so if your patient, it may be worth it. Regardless of price, Im still going to grab the opening bundle of 19500. I obviously see this with a different perspective I guess. Hope I havent come across too aggressive either. lol

The thing is, I would accept this level of pricing for a game that was relatively new and offering a way to beat wasting a lot of cash in lootboxes. However, the games 10 years old now and it's really starting to show. I feel like while they are releasing content, the quality/amount compared to before is nowhere near as comprehensive eg. Discovery - 4-5 missions total, new factions have mostly been a smattering of new missions for them, then basically side with Fed/Klingon which even now feels pointless with the whole them being in the Alliance.

I think the game needs a MAJOR rework these days, or a re-release. Thats just me tho

You are right, but I personally have the same reaction to a single T6 costing the equivalent of, call it half of a full price PC game - just to get a new ship in STO... I would fork over that kind of money for say a decent new episode chain, not for cosmetics. I have a hard time understanding how they seem to apparently sell enough at those prices to keep on making more (and keep the game going). Each to their own I guess - I never understood why so many people spent so much money on Fortnite skins either, I guess I'm not the target demographic.

Cryptic keeps doing this s**t because people like you keep buying it, and the sort of thing you are saying simply to justify their obscene pricing just allows them to keep charging these insane prices.
Game companies need to make money, everyone knows that and nobody is denying it. But to keep putting content behind ever increasing paywalls is simply doing nothing more than harming the player and their view of the game.
When all this "micro"-transaction stuff started people didn't worry too much about spending maybe £10/$10 on a small pack to get some skins,a weapon, a ship etc. It was a fair price to get a few extra toys for your hobby.
But now we have packs that cost more than AN ENTIRE LIBRARY of AAA games and we are supposed to just go along with the "oh but they have to make money and it's actually a fair deal..."
Bulls**t; they are just price gouging and taking advantage of the good nature of their players and also the fact that most Trekkies are probably easily parted from their cash with fancy collections of toys like this.
People supporting and defending this behaviour are just allowing Cryptic to get away with treating the players like crap.

Considering that as of this post they're still being DDoS'd, I would assume so.

If they do revise the price, it won't be 10k, it'll be above 15k at least, but nowhere near 30k.
