Ok so I was squealing with excitement over seeing the old crew back on the Enterprise D!! It feels so right and bringing back the Borg one more time as the villain was *chefs kiss* I’m here for it. Judging by the state of that cube (unicomplex?) It looks like Admiral Janeways neurolytic pathogen was far more effective that we believed.

Oh yeah that borg interior looked really beaten up, like the pathogen had done a number on the borg, and we didn't exactly see the Queen in full so I figure its another thing to save for the last episode. pretty sure that was Alice Krige's voice though? I hate having to wait another week!

When the crew stepped onto the Bridge of the Enterprise. I felt like we all came home. The ship that defined my childhood, that through reruns I go back to when life sucks, has been brought back to life.

It just goes to show that in their hearts, as much as they liked the Enterprise-E, the Enterprise-D was home.

I can't wait to see the final episode.

The little nod to the E as well was a nice touch, though it seemed to imply she was blown up given what Geordi said and Worf simply saying it wasn't his fault when the others glanced at him.

Just a few things that stood out for me with this episode, and all of them have to do with "that" scene...

1) - Majel Barrett-Roddenberry as the Computer has never sounded so sweet. (RIP to the first lady of Trek)
2) - Love the fact Geordi essentially kit bashed the Enterprise D back together - (those sweet sweet Galaxy curves tho...*chef's kiss*)
3) - Love the fact Geordi clearly hated the Generations bridge refit and decided to put it back to launch standard.
4) - A bridge with enough lightbulbs to actually see the terminals? So rare these days.
5) - Nice to see a proper warp jump again - these days its all "Blip - Flash - bang" but back then... Warp fields needed time to get going and they make the best sound.

Best Trek episode ever... it's gotta be up there.

6) Picard's shirt tug as he sat down.... perfection!

Picard missed the CARPETED FLOORS. that made me laugh after the complaints about how shiny the floors are in the newer bridges xD

Hats off to Terry Matalas, absolutely incredible piece of Trek, if not one of the absolute finest!

Loved the nod to the NX-01, which always holds a piece of my heart as well!

This was the best Star Trek episode I've watched since reboot of this god damn series.

I'm sad that this is the last season... with the plot just getting so interesting! Hopefully we get a season 4 here.

GOOD GOD, this on had me sobbing and Mom going into UGLY CRY mode. But, let's start at the beginning...

So, it all comes down to The Borg. I was kinda meh on it at first, but when they explained how the new assimilation works, I was on board. Shaw dying, after he gives Seven the RESPECT SHE DESERVES......INSTANT REDEMPTION.

But the one scene that made this ENTIRE series WORTH IT.....a resurrected ENTERPRISE D. Proud to say I wept when she was revealed.

That episode was amazing.
To start that Enterprise F shot was amazing and I was almost jumping around with how happy I was to finally see it in full.
That Borg revelation was worrying but I wasn't terrified for the crew until we saw the genetic code in the transporter. That was a terrifying revelation and the acting from LeVar Burton in that take over scene was amazing, the full fear of a father on show there. I was terrified for the whole crew there when they started to get taken over and then Fleet synchronisation on top. RIP Excelsior crew, you did excellently.

Then Shaw remembering the extra shuttle and sacrificing himself to save everyone. I really enjoyed him so sad to see him go (and yes I do think he's gone but well they could pull a Shax or something). Also maybe finally acknowledging the Seven and Raffi relationship situation with Raffi staying behind.

Then Hangar bay 12. The Enterprise D in it's original form fixed up by Geordi with all the the sounds from TNG. It was perfect and yes the carpets were nice. Everyone in their original place and with the original computer voice and presumably by Captain Picard being on record also not updated at all since the crash. Just pure wave of nostalgia.

I can't wait to see how they do this with ESD presumably blown up, even though Borgified Starfleet officers should have control of it. I Suppose Fleet synchronisation doesn't apply so could be taken back.
Going full Battlestar Galactica with this I am seeing. The ancient museum piece brought back into service to stop a take over of the ships and save humanity thanks to a Flag officers distrust of new systems.

Do wonder if they might keep the F around instead of decommissioning it if a bunch of ships have to be destroyed or bring in the Yorktown Class after it get damaged so we also get that, maybe in a flash forward at the end or something similar. Also all the ship names are great to see can't wait to see all the hi res images of them.
Next episode can not arrive soon enough I need to see how this ends.

Seems Spacedock is holding the line while the Enterprise finds the source.

Note around the front end of the saucer when it gets up close, might be the shadows but the ship seems to be still carrying some damage from the crash, probably the still required "ton of hull work" Geordi mentioned.
