Keval's Fundraiser

This is being posted with the approval of Three of Seven

Edit: Keval was born with a heart murmur and a bicuspid aortic valve, which runs in his family. He was formally diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis.

For those who don't know, Keval is my husband. For a few years now, he has been dealing with heart issues that started getting worse in mid-2020. At first, it was only mild chest pain that developed into occasional palpitations. He was unfortunately misdiagnosed several times before the root cause was found.

My husband requires intensive medical care, which includes physical therapy, medications, and home health visits. In the US, that can get very expensive, which is why I created a fundraiser for him. All funds will go towards Keval's treatment and continued medical care. If there's anything left over, it will be donated to a heart-related charity. We've tried applying for assistance programs, but to no avail.

Thank you, both! Healthcare in the US is expensive and insurance is picky about what it approves. It'll certainly help!

Thank you for the donation! I totally agree with you there: the US "healthcare" system is among the worst.

I personally know some former US service members who stayed back just because off the health care system even for them.

I've heard the same thing. A lot of my close friends I used to associate with relocated to either Canada or the UK. Thanks for the donation as well!

So far, we have reached $235! Thank you for your donations! This helped us pay for some of Jay's doctor appointments and medication and I'm confident that with your help, we will certainly reach our goal. The reason the goal is so high is due to the ongoing healthcare Jay requires. Our insurance helps pay for some of it, but they will not cover all of it. This is been a huge burden on our finances, so every little bit helps.

Please definitely share the fundraiser with your friends and family to help get the word out about Jay's story.

Hi Jess,

I feel pretty stink I won't be able to help out for another two weeks or so. I'm paid monthly and have to budget a lot ahead of time but with Good Friday coming up, I might get paid sooner as happens sometimes when pay falls on a Holiday. Have definitely added to my next budget.

In the meantime from a small whanau(Family) in NZ, may you two have all the aroha(Love) and support in your times of need.

I'm really sorry to hear what Keval is going through and I can understand how expensive the system is in the states.

I can't give anything just now but I'll see what I can do when I'm paid again at the end of the month as this is definitely a worthwhile cause.
