I just wanted to thank everyone for the support you've given me so far. My family's history of heart problems wasn't really something I thought about very often, and I never thought I'd be afflicted with these problems. When I was younger, my parents were told I had a heart murmur, but I would most likely grow out of it. When it appeared as though I did grow out of it, it seemed like that was the end of it and nothing else was said. My parents were relieved I might not need to experience what every other generation had to experience. Thus, I was never subjected to further testing and the issue was laid to rest.

If it weren't for Jess's insistence regarding a second opinion when many different types of medication didn't seem to fully resolve my symptoms after several misdiagnoses over almost four years, and my event back in November, I don't think I would have sought out further help. If it weren't for her, there's a chance I might not be here today. That's how severe this became before I got the true diagnosis. It's been managed rather efficiently with medication for right now, but as I was told, the medication cannot correct the valve issue.

I have surgery on the 19th of this month to correct the valve issue, which will be a valve replacement. Insurance has been a pain to deal with and I'm glad Jess is trying to take care of that as much as she can. I feel proud to be involved in a community where people care about others. In this day and age, that's extremely rare. I'll be checking in before my surgery and I'm sure Jess will keep everyone updated as well.

Once again, thank you for everything you've done. We really do appreciate it.

Thanks everyone. We’re both anxious to get this over with. We are going to leave the fundraiser open until at least the end of the month if anyone is able to contribute. We have made some progress with insurance but not enough yet and that’s something I’d rather not have hanging over my head while I’m in the hospital.

Everyone has been great and we appreciate it.

Just a bit of an update. Keval is out of surgery and is doing very well. There’s no estimate on when he will be out of hospital as it depends on how he does today and the results of his echocardiogram tomorrow morning.

Keval is being released from the hospital today! He will be home later this afternoon and will start physical therapy next week. We did have to pay for some of the medical equipment he requires, which wouldn't have been possible without your support. I am proud to be part of this kind and loving community.

There's still a bunch of medications Keval will need to take and so I'm leaving the fundraiser open at least until insurance decides to pull through for us. Thank you everyone! As always, I'll keep you up to date. I'm sure Keval will want to post something later on as well.

My spouse and I are gratified to learn of Keval's favorable condition. Witnessing the sentiment of camaraderie and backing articulated here in the UFP community is indeed heartening.
