    Rumors are beginning to circulate, apparently Warner Brothers is interested in purchasing Star Trek from Viacom.

    As reported by Overlord DVD.

    If this pans out, we could be seeing massive changes and retcons coming down the pipeline.

    After seeing what Warner Bros Discovery has done to Rooster Teeth, I really don't want to see what they might do with the Star Trek franchise. That's just me, though.

    I mean if it keeps it alive I may be all for it. It just depends on how they handle the series imo.

    According to the future ruler of Earth's latest video. Apparently talks have slowed down since Skydance might be actually interfering with things.

    You'll have to wait until the end for him to mention the particulars. Disclaimer he's not kind to Kurtzman in this video. Not that this is a surprise given his sheer hatred for any Star Trek under Kurtzman. But nevertheless, I offer the disclaimer.

    Also at this point, could WB really do any worse? Since 2017 there's only been three bright spots in the franchise, SNW, LD, and S3 of Picard. Which all of these series have one common thread.

    Kurtzman wasn't the showrunner. If he wants to be bought out and a new studio wants to relegate everything that Secret Hideout produced to an alternate universe. I'm all for it!

    At least this way we could get a proper continuation of the Prime Timeline. Not that I hated Picard, because I didn't, and if they can find a way to shelve the first two seasons and keep the third one. I'd be happy with that too.

    Star Trek under Secret Hideout has kept the franchise alive albeit on life support. I think it's time for someone new to come in and try to fix the damage.
