As LynxMukka stated earlier this month, he is stepping down from the role of President today. I would like to thank him for his many years of service within this role, and would like to wish him luck in his future endeavours. With Lynx’ departure from the community lead position, Sharpkiller will now step in and serve as the President of the UFP.
Sharpkiller is one of the longest serving administrators of the community, and he has been active in shaping the direction and style of this community for far longer than I have even been a participating member. Alongside Jordan and LynxMukka, he has developed several incarnations of our LCARS themed site, and is continuing to work on our future website (known simply as Nexus).
FEO fully supports this appointment and we believe that Sharpkiller is the ideal candidate to step into the lead role. As a community, the UFP has succeeded where so many others have failed due, in part, to the painstaking vetting process of all our leading staff within CL5 and 6. For those of you that may know little about Sharpkiller, you can rest assured then that this stringent approach to appointments has also been applied rigorously in this particular circumstance.
As for my personal opinion (despite my strong disapproval of overt displays of touchy feely sentimentality), I genuinely cannot think of a better person to take UFPlanets forward. I trust him to maintain the honesty, integrity and spirit of our community whatever the future brings our way. Please join me in congratulating our new President!

Congratulations Sharpkiller!
It is certainly going to be an interesting time for UFP, after the completion a change programme which has seen us in to 2016 which will be marked with a brand new website which you of course have worked hard on, we are now at a really exciting time of deciding what our vision for the next few years will be and how we are going to achieve it. I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
As for LynxMukka I wanted to say a massive thank you for your service to UFP in the role of President, you stood up and took on the role during a very challenging period for UFP, at times you haven't always been the most popular leader but you have been the leader that UFP needed to have, the one that would make the tough decisions and the one that would get things going at a time when others couldn't or wouldn't. You steadied the ship and you got things moving in the right direction.
