Good evening everyone.
With Starfleet Academy returning to full department status it was necessary to recruit for a full command team. I am pleased to announce that the recruitment process has concluded and that FEO has reached a decision.
Before I do make the announcement I would just like to briefly say a massive thanks to Zach who has been in the role of Dean of Starfleet Academy for the past two months. During that time he has done a great job of ensuring the day to day running of Starfleet Academy and has worked closely with Jonathan F-G, who I would also like to thank, on ideas to develop Starfleet Academy. Zach, thank you very much for your service to the community over these last two and a half months and thank you to the entire Starfleet Academy team for the vital role they play in the community especially for the work down over the last few months during some challenging times!
Now for the announcement itself. FEO has made the decision to appoint KerryMalone as the new Commanding Officer of Starfleet Academy and for Zach to remain a member of the command team as the Executive Officer for the department. Both officers share an ambitious vision for Starfleet Academy as well as strong work records, creativity and passion. KerryMalone's perspective coming from outside of Starfleet Academy and Zach's intimate knowledge of the department and it's staff should be a perfect blend and we have high hopes for the department under their leadership.
