What are your BOFFs packing these days?

While we're in the middle of upgrade weekend, curious as to how many put what type of gear on their BOFFs. I currently have mine all with fleet gear atm. But most of it isn't epic. So I'm deciding if I wanna put epic rep gear or epic fleet gear on my BOFFs. Help me decide!

I have my Lobi Epic Staff of Killing (Advanced Herald Antiproton Beam Projector Mk XV [CrtD][CrtH][Dm/CrH][Dmg]x2) and my Borg Running Gun (UR TR-116B Rifle - Sniper Rifle Mk XV [4xShPen][Dmg]x2 [Run]) and the Counter Command Personal Shield, Armor, and Tactical Kit Frame (All UR Mk XV). I also have the Counter-Command Bio-Molecular Rifle, but that's in storage.

ENG BOff uses the Omega Force rep gear (Antiproton)
SCI BOff uses the Iconian Resistance rep gear (Antiproton)
TAC 1 uses Lobi Undine Biotech Battle Armor, Na'kuhl Temporal Operative Personal Shield, and a Lobi Herald Antiproton Stun Beam Projector.
TAC 2 uses Lobi Herald Tactical Combat Armor, Phase-Shifted Personal Shield (from the mission Skirmish), and a Lobi Herald Antiproton Stun Beam Projector.

All the other BOffs are for storage or for flying and storage.

But I'm happy with my Lobi purchases, and with the rep gear. I haven't really tried any Fleet gear.

That's a lot of Lobi! I never accumulate that stuff, just one of the great mysteries of STO to me

All my Boff's have omega force rep gear (tetryon) upgraded to UR, some say overkill but I say Underkill

MK X or MK XI from circa 2012-2013?

The Captain would be maybe MK XI or XII at the most, or whatever the highest Omega or the similar Borg rep gear.

Please don't be me, my boffs are always face planting and protecting the dirt more than protecting me.

As such, I don't leave ESD much... maybe a trip to Risa every now and then...

Typically try and gear them out with rep sets that buff the team, more buffs for me without having to wear them

All BOFF are wearing reputation UR gear:

TAC/Int: Omega (Antiproton)
ENG/Cmd: Iconian (Antiproton)
SCI/Cmd: MACO (Disruptor)
SCI/Int: MACO (Phaser)

Honestly my boffs get whatever trash i'm not currently using!

I tend to grab most rep gear (or used to at least) and then if it doesn't suit me i give it to a boff. So my away teams are all geared with second-hand rep gear passed down from their captain!

I really don't notice my boffs having a massive impact on missions anyway and they seem to be as effective no mater what they use, so I don't bother buying specific items for them.

The idea with the BOFFs gear is to give them anything that can buff you, and their weapons have expose attacks that you can exploit. Also, if you do Borg ground missions, equip them with different energy type weapons, to minimize the way Borg adapt to them.

I have turned off everything on my BOffs when trying to do [x] amount of [y]-type damage (Ground). I let the Doc heal and the Engineer set up shield and health fields. Took away their weapons and set them on passive. Then I mowed through enemies more efficiently. They never just SHOOT things.

The exception is running through Home trying to kill Attendants.

Tac: Full Gamma set
Eng 1: Full Gamma set
Eng 2: Full Omega set
Sci: 2-piece Gamma set + Vaadwaur Lobi rifle

Everything at Epic XV.

Gamma sets have pulsewaves, which are ideal for BOff AI as it makes them charge up. While they now have lots of extra toys from Specs and other special abilities, their roles haven't changed. Tac is still a tank, running forward with the pulsewave. Eng drop turrets and drones before also moving in with their relatively short range weapons. Sci is medic/buffer, hanging back with the sniper-ranged rifle.

That Vaadwaur rifle used to be the captain's, before I switch to the plasma 2+2 build. Otherwise I would have just stuck another long-ranged weapon on Nelen, maybe like the rainbow mission gun.

Point here is that I end up with 3 copies of the Gamme 2-piece buff, 2 copies of the Gamma 3-piece buff, and 1 of the Omega set buff.

That's +30% All Weapon Damage, +30 Kinetic/Physical DR, +20 Energy DR, +10% Hit Points/Shield Capacity, +15.1 Dodge, +2.5% Crit Chance/Severity for the whole team.

I use them for general storage too, like extra devices, I am a hoarder.
