OMG! I have been waiting for this day for nearly 4 years! I hope its true. I was gobsmacked when we got the last model update back when the Andromeda was released. I never thought they would actually do it. I was unhappy though that the hull materials just looked old and didn't really do Thomas's work justice., like when he done the revamp for the TMP ships with the Type8/8b hull.

Fingers crossed this is true, and this is hopefully the final "screen accurate" update I've been waiting for.

Ooooh I really hope they fix the deflector dish textures, they weren’t quite right and had this weird untextured part near the glow. Its always bugged me, but I’m stoked!

Exactly! It was one of the little things that put me off flying her and was a real shame just after Thomas updated the model, we had that new lighting system that seemed to play havoc on the old textures.

Well I am hoping they add the Generations Hull Pattern and that for all Galaxy Class like ships.

Agreed. Im hoping they go with the original 6ft filming model that they used for both TNG and Generations, rather than the smaller 4ft model. The 6ft one always looked really sleek and modern and Im glad they used it again for Generations too, so fingers crossed they do go with this one.

I have to disagree. The 6-ft model is missing ten forward and some of the parts just look too thin.

Blimey, and I thought I knew my ships pretty well ha! Well spotted, I never noticed that before. I do like the 4ft model, but it just seems a little too chunky for my taste.

They fixed that with Generations so it is no longer missing

Ok so because im a little over excited about the prospect of a new Galaxy revamp, I decided to do a little research of her on screen. Im 90% convinced that the image teased is infact an In-game screenshot. There are some obvious clues as people have pointed out on Redit and have mentioned the "glow/halo like effect round the windows. One of the most obvious clues however (in my opinion of course) is there is no "exact" shots in TNG or Generations that look like the one teased, which is a good sign it is actually happening

Ahm I think this is the shot they try to replicate but the color of the Lifeboats is the best indicator.

Ahh of course. Oh also, the registry is slightly thicker on the Cryptic one too.

I know. Point was that "sleeker" look from season 1 and 2 won't be back because the saucer RIM was too thin for 10-forward.
