I absolutely love this trailer. The first one was epic enough, but this one, this one had all the feels for me. The TNG reunion, the classic Romulan Birds of Prey which I really loved, and also even more so as the ships are used as T1 ships for the Romulan republic in Star Trek Online, the Galaxy class hologram at Starfleet Command/Academy...It wasn't modified or updated, just exactly the same ship I remember and grew up with and looks glorious to see in HD with modern day effects.

Just loved it, and to top it off season 3 of Discovery looks epic too. Its insane, Star Treks back! haha.

*sigh* I swore I would not pay for CBS all access but I have a bad feeling they are going to get my money after all.

I just hate the idea of a TV network developing great shows and then not putting them on TV (which I already pay for) so they can create an additional paywall. I'm really afraid if they are successful, ABC and NBC will do the same and then what, we have to pay for cable TV and then pay each newtork another monthly fee for the shows they decide not to put on TV?

I really thought streaming TV services like Sling and YouTube TV would be the end of the monopoly cable companies charging huge prices for cable TV but now instead of paying a big bill to one company we get nickel and dimed... Live TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, CBS All Access, Disney Plus, ESPN +, etc.

Oh I have but my point is the money I saved dumping my Verizon cable and switching to YouTube TV is now slowly going back out to all these different streaming platforms.

I have YouTubeTV and get NFL & College Football Live. I'm not sure if that's an issue with your area or perhaps something that should be addressed with YouTube.

But I do understand being irritated about being a Cord-Cutter just to reallocate those savings to other streaming services. It sucks but CBS knows that we will pay up to watch the shows. Just like Disney knows that hardcore Star Wars fans will pay to see the Mandalorian.

But what choice do we have? In this day and age if you want to boldly go, you have to pony up. But for this series I'll happily give CBS some coin.

NBC is starting their service in the spring and it will have a new Battlestar Galactica series set in the Ronald Moore universe!!!!

Fox has a service (now owned by Disney) which is Hulu essentially. The Orville will be exclusive to Hulu when it returns next fall.

All of the broadcast channels (CBS, NBC, Fox, ABC, CW, etc...) are free via digital tv antenna.

I get it, cord cutting now days may end up being the same cost as cable. However it’s 2019 and cable is dying quick. The big benefit over cable is that you can pause your streaming service subscriptions between shows and save money.
