Evening all. Well it is a sunday afternoon here, I am back at work and taking a bfeak so i just thought i would just write a few notes here to introduce myself.

Well i am Matt and a bit of a minor gaming addict currently living in Wellington, New Zealand. I have very very casually played STO for a little while now but pretty much done it alone and therefore what i know about the game can be written in large letters with a thick pencil on the backside of a house fly.

That said i have extensive experience in other mmorpg games including world of warcraft both running my own guild and operating as a raid leader and stratergist for a semi hardcore raiding guild for a number of years.

In my offline life..... I am pretty boring. I work in a civil construction company dispatching and transporting heavy machinery to roading projects.

Well as my time as a performer once told me..... Always leave the crowd either wanting more..... Or not giving a crap so in the hope that i have achieved one of those i will sign off.

Thank you for sharing a little bit about yourself!

I too drive a semi-truck, for work currently .

While STO isn't your typical MMO, having previous MMO experience should help you a bit in STO. Fear not though, the UFP is made up of many STO experts that are always willing an able to help you out with anything you need .

We do have a dedicated WoW area within the Holodeck, if you are still active in that game as well.

There's also events running throughout the week in the different games members enjoy. You may be interested in the upcoming tour of the UFP fleet Federation Starbase this Friday/early Saturday, which has 2 different times if one works for ya .

Well i am active in wow...... Well as active as anyone can be in BFA.

I realise that my timzone makes is a nightmare for most events especially if a large proportion of people are in the US. I do wonder how many people here, like me are in the part od the earth that flat earthers say isnt real though

Yeah we hang on well here to be honest. I think it is the hairy feet....... The hairs have little hooks on them that anchor us to the ground. That and a bit of stiff hold hairspray and you wouldnt know anything is wrong

And yes i live in new zealand and that IS a hobbit reference

You're not the only one there. I still have an active sub but I don't log in much, for the first time in 15 years I'm not currently raiding ingame. Basically my whole guild fled overnight to Classic and haven't come back yet. So I'll just wait out till Shadowlands.

Welcome aboard. I am a casual gamer myself... in fact, I have so little time to play I have basically limited myself to one game- STO. Hey, it works for me. Hope to see you in-game some time soon.

Glad to have you on board, Myrddin. No worries about schedule. We have people online all hours of the day so there's always somebody to drop with for a quick TFO. We also have regular events that hopefully you can make some.
