So as I'm mega excited of the prospect of having an updated/authentic looking Galaxy class for the 10 year Anniversary, I thought it would be good
to start predicting what "Legends" may be, and possibly what may be coming with the 10 year event, as according to the Devs, its going to be huge.

Here is what I currently think will happen for the Anniversary.

A possible 10 ships to be available. These will either be entily new or revamps of existing.

A special guest star to appear: I would really love John De'lance as Q. Not only would that be ace, but he could also do the lines for his whole character
so he's properly voiced for the 2020 winter event.

Ships that may be included: (This is just me speculating)

T6 Nova, T6 Oberth, T6 Luna, Revamp of the Galaxy (already confirmed), Revamp of the Olympic class, Revamp of the Steamrunner, Revamp of the Sabre.

These are just a few ideas and not 100% going to be included. I would throw in some Romulan,Klingon ships but the list would go on and on.

Heres what I think the Lengends update may bring:


Possible re-run of the Temporal Agent event (I certainly have my fingers crossed for this)
Story line that could involve all timelines in peril that see's your character travelling through time, and meeting "Legends" at certain key points in history and work with them to save the quadrant. Events like Wolf 359, Dominion War even a event or TFO featuring V'Ger would be amazing, but that's just me being a total nerd and wishing way to hard.

Possible revamp of the majority of uniforms in game. We've seen that there is a Klingon TNG uniform revamp coming, and we've just got a really cool Breen costume with pretty awesome customization. Really hope the TNG Fed uniforms get a revamp as they are looking rather bland these days.

Finally, I have a feeling that the Galaxy map and the whole road to 2409 will be ret-conned, to fall in line with the Picard series. We already know the Dev's are working on a Romulan revamp at some point, and Picard will be featuring the Romulans and Borg as primary allies/villains, so I think this big change that the lead exec Al Rivera mentioned, quote "next years story arc will change the face of the game", is indeed a hint that they may be altering certain elements of STO lore. The recent prequel comics have already included Admiral Picard's ship, the U.S.S. verity, which is an Odyssey class which in STO lore, was launched end of 2409/2410. According to a few podcasts, Picard takes place in 2398 or around that period (I could be wrong, but I know its the late half of 23XX), so even though the comic may not be cannon, if the odyssey appears in Picard (which would be amazing), then I recon Cryptic will alter in game lore to fall in line with Picard. Al also mentioned that it will please a group of players, so this to me screams that it could possibly be rather Romulan focused.

So these are my thoughts, and would totally love to see what you all think may or may not happen.

Now regards the Legends thing I’m hoping we get to see all of the remaining canon ships that aren’t at T6 given a revamp and entered into the game. Even if they just added the skins in an updated way to existing ships I’d be happy; I could see the Sabre fitting in well as a skin in the pilot escorts for example, or the Olympic is essentially the same style as the Nautilus.

Also I hope we get some themed TFO’ as that was something the EP mentioned when he first took over; famous story events as a mission simulator.
So stuff like Wolf 359 but with 10 players against a super Borg cube would be awesome.
Or maybe up against the Whale Probe in a mission, even V’ger would be cool.
Or let us go to Sha ka ree and fight “God” with or without the starship he so desperately wants!

Haha no worries at all. Hell yeah. Forgot about the whale probe. We could totally do with some really cool TFO's, and a Wolf 359 one with a super cube would be totally ace. They've done it with Crytaline catastrophe, so having a single powerfull Borg cube that adapts similar to the Borg ground critters mechanic.

Would be cool to keep remodulating weapons taking it on. God knows why they haven't done this yet!

Given that a revamp of the galaxy has been teased, ships may well be getting another graphics pass so we might get that alongside missing T6 ships.

Yeah that would make sense. I'm sure people dont mind paying decent amount of Zen for decent quality cannon ships. I certainly wouldn't mind that for sure. Who knows, maybe we will get the updated ships if we already own the current class eg, the Galaxy class for instance. Either way, if they stick to the Zen store approach, then I think a lot of players would be happy.

Legends... I'm going out on a limb (especially with the Galaxy revamp) a Picard appearance... and possible a Kirk appearance. That is all.

I think if it is a Kirk appearance, it'll be the Kelvin timeline Kirk, since they seem to have gotten that 4th movie back up and running. That way you can have Jean-Luc talk with the younger Kirk.

If it is a 10 ships and them being hero ships... I can probably guess 9 of them:
Discovery -> Science Destroyer
Discoprise(Enterprise / A) -> Flight Deck Carrier (so basically, just the Discoprise from the lock box)
Enterprise-NX -> Frigate
Enterprise-B -> ??? (Cruiser I guess)
Enterprise-D -> Miracle Worker Dreadnought
Enterprise-E -> Command Battlecruiser
Enterprise-F -> Strike Wing Cruiser (with updated Aquarius)
Defiant -> Pilot Escort
Voyager -> Multi-Mission Science Vessel
Picard Show Ship -> Raider

One ship and typing for each show. The only ship I'm not sure about for typing is Enterprise-B. Then again, probably just give that one the boring Cruiser typing. And before you go "Strike Wing CRUISER, are you nuts?", it is the only ship that could realistically do Strike Wing out of all the Hero ships thanks to the Aquarius. I mean you could give it to Voyager, but again, same problem. Besides, if you give the Voyager the Strike Wing that means the Odyssey would need to become the Multi-Mission ship, which would also be unusual.

As far as I remember they talked about 10 ships the have not made it to T6 yet and that would have been the Luna, Nova.....

Totally agree with all the above. Bridger, Im pretty certain too that the 10 ships may well be current missing T6 like Luna, Nova, Oberth, Olympic so on and so on, but totally a welcome addition to the game. There are so many current STO kit-bash variants of ships that either seriously need a major rework or just removed. That of course is my own opinion of course and in all honesty, I highly doubt they would remove the really old 2010 STO models. They certainly need a bit of TLC though thats for sure, for all factions.

Forethegamer, I seriously (and fingers crossed mega hard hope) that they do add variants as you've mentioned to the current T6 ships. I know a lot of people were unhappy (and please dont kick me for this Scarlet ) with the T6 Excelsior and I've seen a lot of disappointment about the BOFF layout. I didnt mind it to be honest, but there was definitely room for improvement, and If they were to add another variant that say had the command innovation specialization and a different BOFF layout, I think that would certainly please a lot of Excelsior loving folk.

T6 Galaxy with Miracle Worker spec...yes please. Like totally all for this. I can dream I guess, but the recent teaser image that was released, I think is just purely a revamp to bring all older models up to date with new hull materials and meshes/models.

I mean, I do get they want to add in new ships, so I think we'll also see those. But I think they'll do a hero's pack with each ship being exactly like that. A very wild variation on the regular format. This could then lead into them adding in other variations afterwards and people could pick and choose those.

The other reason I think this is because they wouldn't just update the old models without making some money off them too.

Also the more I think about my earlier post, the more I think they'd flip the Discovery and the Voyager typings. This is because then you could finagle the Delta Flyer into a ship skill and make the Discovery Multi-Purpose.

Though, yeah, they most definitely are going to update the older stuff to be T6. I wouldn't be surprised if we had two different packs. The Anniversary Pack (STO Legends Pack) being all the older ships or ships we don't have, with the Legend Pack (Star Trek Historic pack would probably be what it ends up with) with the updated hero ships.

At least, that's my thinking.

I'm just saving EC cuz I KNOW, they will drop a wanted ship into an R&D pack, I mean I hope they don't, but lets be honest, they will. Though I wouldn't mind a Galaxy Class Miracle Worker Dreadnought, *Drools Uncontrollably at the thought.*

I hope they took a look at the bridge seating of the T6 Long Range Science Vessel...out of the 3 hero ships it is easily the worst, plus the Galaxy class got a revamp a long time back...the Intrepid could use some love.
