Hey mates,
I am curious.. What processor do you prefer more? The Intel Core or AMD CPU's? Feel free to explain your choice.
I love the AMD Ryzen CPUs...as soon as I am building a desktop PC, I'm gonna use the Ryzen 5 1600X because I simpl love the Rzen family, lol

Last Intel CPU I had was back in the days of Core Quad Q8400. Since then only AMD CPU's. The reason is basically cost/performance and the unlocked multiplier that allows me to play with it.

I've always preferred Intel, due to AMD's lack of a decent gaming CPU. Even the first generation Ryzen did not impress me, more cores did not justify all the other drawbacks (power consumption, compability problems, lack of mainboards, etc.) back at the time. However right now it appears AMD got their act together, the second generation Ryzen seems to be a very good CPU and with Intel dropping the ball with their 10nm or less production line I might even think about switching next time.
That being said, I have a coffee lake i7, so that is still plenty fast for the games I play.

I've only ever had one AMD processor and it was the Athlon 64 X2 4400, always had Intel before that and since. I tend to favour the I-series, currently using an i7 6700K which will be 4 years old in a couple of months. I'd quite like to get an i9 at some point, but I've too much other stuff going on right now to justify a full upgrade. Besides which, my CPU is still more than capable of getting the job done.

I'm an Intel fanboy, I'm currently rocking a i7 7700k which suits my needs perfectly, I thought about trying about Ryzen but I decided to stick with what I know as it can be an expensive investment.

I don't mind either my 1st ever own built system started on AMD in the K6 2 range then after a few years, I went over to Pentium when they introduced hyperthreading, my last intel was the i5 4690k and I only moved to that from my Q9550 as parts were becoming more sparse and expensive should I have had any system failures and to be fair for the duration of the use of the 4960 I would not have said it was much better than my Q9550.
I moved back across to AMD with the Ryzen 2700X and 2600 in my kids build, I was planning on doing an 8086 intel build when they brought out the anniversary CPU other year but the thing was to damn expensive for my liking.
The good thing about modern CPU's is that you get a decent duration out of them, Back when I was a student in IT between 98-99 and then teaching between 00-06 I found that I was upgrading my CPU almost yearly the Q9550 and the i5 4690K I ran for a good few years on both before feeling I needed to upgrade fingers crossed now back on AMD I feel the same though 13 months on I am still more than happy with it currently.
My next Major upgrade will probably be GPU and monitor had the RX480 since release now and that has served me well not sure yet what my next one will be or if it will be AMD based or Nvidia again I have no preferences on either.
