Hi Folks,

I have been away from "active" duty in-game for some time. Mostly hopping in and out occasionally in the past year or two. My PC had a hard drive crash and I lost all my keybind information. Thankfully, when I reinstalled the game, my Space keybinds remained in-tact. However, my Ground ones were not. It may have been something I did when I first got into the game, but for whatever reason I can't seem to fix them now.

When I saved the keybind file out of the game, it looked somewhat foreign to me and the system doesn't seem to want to accept anything I create. Did something happen in-game that changed keybind mechanics?

If not, would someone be willing to help me set up a file or at least review the one I'm trying to get to work?

So there's a nifty little tool I use call STO keybinds and it helps you to create keybinds using a much easier GUI than trying to write them by hand. You can download it here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/sto-keybind/

If you need any help using the program please let me know and I'll do my best to assist.

Now onto the original topic, I've taken a look at your keybind and I think the syntax is actually incorrect but I suggest using the program I linked above as it will write the code for you and you just load the bind file using /bind_load_file BINDFILENAME and voila!

But first you'll need to unbind your current keybind file using the command /unbind_all that will clear all your current binds, it will only clear your binds based on where you are, e.g. if you're in space it will unbind your space binds only and on ground the command will only clear your ground binds since ground and space keybindings are treated separately.

I downloaded that and I found it has some help videos. More importantly, it has some nice features to do a few things I've wanted to do and never could figure out the coding. Very nice! Soon as I get the game uploaded, I will play around with that and let you know how it turns out. Much appreciated!
