Greetings Fellow Captains!
I have been around Star Trek: Online since the first day of it's release. My Federation character was made a few hours after the servers went live, and I have played this game off and on since then. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, and have decided to get back into STO since the release of Star Trek Picard. STO is the only MMO that I have played that I have gotten to max level. I always end up getting bored with the other ones, including StarWars, but I love exploring the lore in STO, it's what keeps me coming back again and again.
I look forward to growing with this group, and meeting all of you.
I am also currently a member of the 7th Cavalry Tactical Gaming Regiment, a MILSIM unit, where I hold the rank of 2nd LT, and am a Platoon Leader. I have ~40 troopers under my command. Unfortunately, they do not play STO.

I am also currently a member of the 7th Cavalry Tactical Gaming Regiment, a MILSIM unit, where I hold the rank of 2nd LT, and am a Platoon Leader. I have ~40 troopers under my command. Unfortunately, they do not play STO.
Exciting! A couple of us used to play Project reality back in it's hayday, was pretty fun. I watch quite a lot of shacktac who does a lot of the milsim with massive amount of players and always looks a good laugh.

It's very nice that you have decided to join our community. You will love it here, promised! 
I absolutely share your opinion on STO. It's such a fascinating game, and I have also had some breaks every now and then, but... I always have to come back! Why's that? I think it's because Star Trek Online has so many, many things to offer we love about the franchise, the setting, the stories and the universe. Furthermore there is a very positive development in my opinion which has not always been the case. I like the new event system, although it is of course a grind. Nevertheless, even the grind has gotten more attractive recently. I like the new patrols which are quickly and easily done. Oh, and I like the new episodes being introduced.
I didn't like the fact that the Foundry was removed, but oh well. Perhapy it will come back someday? You never know.
Anyways, it's great to have you among us, mate. See you around in the milkyway!

So funny enough, I chose the name Abaddon a long time ago, but because most of the time, that name is already taken, I added "WAR" to the end of it. I started to go by that name after the first Darksiders game came out, which i thoroughly enjoyed. I picked it from mythology, but apparently there's this Abaddon the Despoiler in Warhammer 40K that has decided to take on the moniker 
I can't wait to meet all of you. I will give as much time as I can, but my 7th Cavalry duties come first, but y'all will definitely see me around.
