For any of the ships having a T6 variant /promo box/lock box varaint - yes, you can use kitbash parts. Example, Constitution. Other than that, these could serve a purpose to add-on to you admiralty card collection.

You won't really end up flying them compared to your T5s, T6s - that's just the truth.

The only one there good at QA was Spartan and she produce now also broken code.

Cryptic releasing broken code? That only happens like every patch day. Given all the other changes, the T1-T4 change is probably overdue. I guess the only part that kind of surprises me is that they didn't lump small craft in that mix. There really hasn't been anything new created there since probably the Delta expansion.

Actually, Discovery stuff did add in a new shuttle. So we did get something.

But yeah, expansion wise no. No we didn't. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they just turn T1-T4 into like trading cards only and your free starting ship turns into the Pioneer Utility class into a proper 24C ship and that becomes the next specialization. Not sure how it would work, but that's all I can guess. Free version would be up to T5 (meaning the Pioneer gets just outright buffed), while the upgrade goes to T6.

That's honestly what I see happening now that these guys are mothballed. Trading cards for the older ships.

True, they have added faction-specific shuttlecraft for the newer factions (TOS, Gamma, and Disco), but there haven't been new content calling for the use of shuttlecraft in ages. It feels more like they added the newer faction versions more to avoid an outcry of making people run a 25th century Fed, KDF, or Rom craft instead of something appropriate to the newer faction's themes.

I could almost see them consolidating all of the fleets into the Khitomer Alliance at some point. It would cut down on costs.
