This build leans heavily into the Temporal aspect of this ship, leveraging that Temporal/ Exotic goodness for maximum damage! It is designed to be piloted by an Engineer, but can be modified for other careers. My captain is Human, if that matters.

Results:

This specific build resulted in my 670.39K DPS Infected Space Elite run. This particular run was a DPS Channel run. This is a very high end build, and can be counted on for over 500K in Infected Space Elite quite often, with many runs coming in higher than 600K. This build is also very capable in Hive Space Elite runs, where I've been averaging between 350K and 430K DPS, with a high of 482.89K, while running a DPS Channel run. This is a very good, all around Elite content build. My parses for the 670.39K ISE run and the 482.89K HSE run are listed below.

You get Well Travelled by successfully completing the entire Tour the Galaxy mission. It's given by Captain Jay Yim, and is in the list of available missions tab, listed by clicking the bottom left button on the map at the top right of the screen.

They really should fix the description, but there are a lot of things in STO that need fixing, so I'm not holding out hope. I have temporarily replaced him with Agent Nerul, the Shield Distribution Officer, until I sell some of my Exchange assets and buy another Projectile Weapons Officer for more Crit Chance! The build is now corrected!

Sadly not, the Exotic modulation gives bonus exotic damage or Cat2 damage which is better for DPS overall. The terran machinations gives a flat 30% damage boost to exotic damage or Cat1 damage. While this is nice, its outperformed by Exotic Modulation which procs on the temporal abilties such as Entroptic Redistribution.

Typically you can distingiush the difference between Cat1 and Cat2 damage by reading the items ingame tooltip. For example:

+5% Bonus All Damage - Cat2
+5% All Damage - Cat1

What Solace said. I tried Chronometric Inversion Field during my testing of this build. Entropic Cascade performs better for me.
