The Next Generation - The Neutral Zone

Incoming Transmission
*Intercom bleeps* “Sir you have an incoming transmission from Starfleet Command”
“Route it in here”
“Hello Captain!”
“Admiral Hayes, *you nod* I assume this isn’t a checkup call?”
“No it is not captain, I’m issuing new orders for you and your crew, there’s been reports of increased Romulan activity along the Neutral Zone. I want you to set a course for the Zone and link up with Starships Aganemnon and Crazy Horse and Enterprise. The Enterprise will serve as the command ship for this operation. You’ll receive further instructions from Captain Picard once you arrive.”
“Understood sir, we’ll get underway immediately.”
*Admiral Hayes nods* “Starfleet Command out.”
*You stand up and head out to the bridge, pausing a short second before you reach the door to collect yourself* *Door opens* *Swish*
“Red alert, helm set a course for the Romulan Neutral Zone and engage at Warp 9.”
*Your first officer asks concerned:* “The Neutral Zone?”
“I will explain shortly, gather the senior staff for a conference.”

Overview:
This event we’re diving back into the TNG era with “The Neutral Zone”. There has been increased Romulan activity along the border for the last 5 months, long range sensors have detected faint tachyon emissions coming from inside the zone. Starfleet Command believes these emissions could be cloaked Romulan ships.

Your job is to sit on the border of the zone and wave the flag. Deter any Romulan ships from crossing the zone. Good luck Captains!

This event will take place June 13th @ 20:00 UFP

KDF and other aligned characters are welcome (Romulan,Jem’hadar)
*Note Romulan Aligned Characters will be able to use their faction aligned ships from the list below if they would prefer to do so.

*Jem’hadar Aligned characters must choose from their alliance counterparts ship selection.

Ship Restrictions
Event attendees are restricted to using one of the following ship types:

Federation Characters:

• Galaxy Class
• Excelsior Class
• Ambassador Class
• Miranda Class
• Oberth Class (If you want the challenge hehe)
• Constellation Class (Stargazer)
• Nebula Class
• Akira Class

Romulan Characters:

• D’Deridex Warbird

Klingon Characters:

• Vor’cha Class Battlecruiser
• Br’el Bird of Prey
• Negh’var Class Battleship
• K’tinga Class (Or T6 D7 if available)

Weapon Restrictions
These weapon restrictions only apply to the appropriate faction ship (Fed = phasers, KDF/Rom = Disruptors etc).

Federation/Aligned Characters:

• Phaser Beams/Cannons
• Photon Torpedoes

KDF/Aligned Characters:

• Disruptor Beams/Cannons
• Photon Torpedoes

Question - are all phaser type weapons allowed (as long as it does 'phaser' damage) or are we talking 'basic' phasers?

I don't mind in all honesty, imo the blue Advanced Phasers looks a little odd on TNG ships but you can run any phaser type weapon you prefer

Even after selling most my dil across toons, still couldnt even get a T6 Galaxy... then I remembered I still had a coupon from an event.

Edit: yikes... I went from 'meh dps' to 'how long do I have to keep shooting at these things before they blow up?!'... But at least I look pretty doing it!

Does anyone have a list of phasers/torpedoes (and other weapon types maybe) that have visuals in line with TNG? I have put all phaser beam stuff on my Galaxy, but the colors are all over the place. I'm hoping someone already did the work on what looks period appropriate? Ideally more advanced ones (Fleet? Rep?) but anything that looks original.

Or maybe there is already a guide for period specific stuff? (TOS, TNG, Disco...)?

Thanks solace! Just stocked up on elite fleet phaser beam arrays (I missed the 'advanced' bit... :/ ) but it looks a lot more TNG now.

Ps... Next time, can we plan the themed events a week or two after a double upgrade event? It is costing me a fortune in phoenix upgrades to get all this stuff upgraded.

True but the Prototype for the Akira class was launched in 2368, which brings it within TNG's time period. The ship was designed as a response to the Borg threat, such like the Defiant built purely for war.

I'm not completely versed in my timelines. Is The Atlas to far before this event? I have a T5 Galaxy that will work, just wanted to be sure.
