I saw this game pop up on my Youtube Subscriptions from an awesome youtube creator (Scott Manley) I've been following for a few years now (If you're interested in space, sub to this channel, he's an Astronomer and explains all kinds of things that deal with Space, and even has an Astroid named after him, 33434 Scottmanley)
It's a physics-based game where you break apart a ship for salvage, and each part you break off has individual physics associated (Mass, momentum, etc). Looks really interested.
Oh, did I mention that this is done by the guys who made the Homeworld series? Yeah. Them. So you know its good.
It's early access and only $23 Canadian Rupees ($33 normally)

Looks like good fun.
Watched some videos of it last night and got me interested.
Also anything that gets a Scott Manley mention deserves full attention anyway!

I was skeptical at first, I think I saw an ad elsewhere... but after seeing the gameplay video I'm sold on it. This looks a heck of a lot of fun. The only enemy is really yourself here because if you cut the wrong spot then you blow yourself up or out into space. Looks very challenging and fun, almost critical thinking and puzzle like too. Clearly it tells you the ship's reactor is the gold nugget here but it is like a ticking time bomb that if you don't deposit it for cash then you'll probably lose it, yourself and probably the whole ship worth salvaging.

These two games aren't even remotely similar other than you work in space and use tools.

So I dropped $20.00 USD on the early access game; it is on discount for special promotion until July on Steam... I decided to give it a shot.
My first attempt here to cut the impulse drive from the ship ended in me igniting the ship furnace and I blew out a portion of the ship. Luckily it didn't hit the ship's reactor or I would have lost it all. It "DID" reveal the engineering section and I was able to pull out the reactor but in my haste I got electrocuted from the reactor. I didn't die and I was able to cash in the reactor for credits. Whew...
Attachment 13401
Watch out for the "explosive decompression" when you first pierce the ship's interior. The oxygen will rush to that location and panels will blow out into space. If you're not careful you'll get smacked in the face with a steel plate... xD
Attachment 13402
Oh apparently the early access game hasn't refined 3440x1440 yet... So I had to choose a different in-game resolution. Remember it is EARLY ACCESS; but overall most of what you see in those videos are in place... Just don't blow yourself out into space like I did...
Oh and yes it has a "Homeworld" feel to it, the ship designs and graphics art...

This looks like fun! I've been reading a few of the Steam reviews and I'm a bit off-put by the 15 minute timer to get things sorted, that sorta of pressure in a game like this where you're meant to be having some fun is a bit too much for me. I'll probably still pick this us up but I dropped £35 on Sea of Thieves on steam so ahaha yeah..

Correct - it has a "sandbox" mode Solace. No pressure whatsoever, you just cut and torch pieces at your leisure; all while listening to "Homeworld-ish" music...
