    I was just wondering about anyones opinion on the introduction of Vic Fontaine. Personally I liked that he was bought into DS9 to me it felt like it added more but I also know that not many people like that they added Vic. I also really enjoyed the episode with Vic and Nog. What do you think about Vic Fontaine?

    Firstly welcome to the UFP sweetdude!

    I quite liked the character of Vic Fontaine. He didn't feel shoe horned into the story and really allowed us to see another side of the people in Starfleet. Namely Nog's recovery from losing his leg.

    I don't really have any view on Vic Fontaine, I don't really know anyone who has a dislike of him either. Can't say I really enjoyed the episodes with him in though, but there were far worse episodes.

    I definitely thought he was an interesting character, Vic was a good idea and was involved in one of my favourite episodes, the one where Nog loses his leg. (Not for the losing the leg, I swear! The character development and the personal challenges Nog underwent was powerful.)

    I didn't care for him. I mean not in a "Move Along Home" kind of dislike, just sort of a... I know which episodes I can skip type of thing.

    I was always a fan of Vic.

    The character brought something new and different to the show. A Vic episode was an opportunity to take a peek into the past & show us how far humanity had progressed in 400 years. Plus I have a soft spot for the music of that era.

    James Darren definitely left his unique mark on Star Trek.

    I love Vic! I never would have heard 'Here's to the losers' without him and it's become one of my favorite Sinatra songs.

    Overall, I just though he was a really fun character. He was one of those characters who despite not being anything that special by himself, gave every other character a chance to shine (especially Nog).

    Love him. He's Solid. Helped Nog get back into the game. "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang" was one of my all time favorite DS9 episode. couldn't have made it without his character
