I just watched the first episode and enjoyed it. Comparing Episode 1 to the trailer, I think some of the concerns aren't necessarily as severe as it could have been (some of the jokes in the trailer are in the first episode, but it is interspersed across a broader story rather than back to back). The crew of the Cerritos are basically Starfleet's "also ran" crew instead of Starfleet's finest, which makes sense. Not every ship can be the Enterprise, and the other shows have shown plenty of terrible officers (I'm looking at you, Starfleet Admiralty). The crew feel like they are living up to Starfleet's ideals, but by the same token the show pokes fun at some of the cliches of other Trek series in a way that you'd expect of the more "blue-collar" workers that would inhabit the lower decks and work through the more mundane work aboard ship. The show probably isn't going to be for everyone, but if you watch it with an open mind it isn't half bad and I plan on checking out more episodes as they drop.

I just finished watching it. It was much better than I expected and while I'm not a huge fan of the animation style, it's growing on me.

Same, takes a bit of getting used to, but the first episode is usually a character introduction, it is what I expected it to be, goofy. I like that it has an ensemble cast, and the intro sequence is inspired by the older Star Treks. I do like the CMO in Lower Decks though, she amuses me. So yeah, it's okay, I'll keep watching.

Viewership numbers are obviously not going to be very high, because it's not widly accessible. I'm going to make a prediction about Escouade 99 (the Canadian Brooklyn 99), my predicition is that viewer numbers won't be very high!
