I thought it was funny that Burnham immediately thought negative of the romulans even though the Romulans were the ones who wanted stay in the Federation and sided with her and wanted to give Burnham the data.

From her perspective from 2258. Romulans were the Enemy that federation had not had contact since the Earth-Romulan War

very little were known of them. even their link to Vulcans were a secret.

So not suprised to be honest.

I really enjoyed this episode. It was a fascinating look into Ni’var’s culture post unification and even after some time there are core divisive issues that remain between Romulans and Vulcans. I loved the nods and ties in with TNG and Picard.

My favorite Discovery episode, to me instant classic. I really liked the Qowat Milat and thier purpose. Makes sense how Vulcans and Romulans were able to co-exist. I also liked the Vulcans new new view on "The needs of the many" and how the Federation was responsible for the dilithium shortage. But the return of Burham's mother was too "far fetched" to me. Now that Burnham has family in the future, what about the rest of the crew? kinda unfair. Im am happy that Tilly was promoted to first officer. I'm pretty sure that there are more qualified officers, its a big crew. But nonetheless she will make a good no. 1 and cannot wait to see how her character develops in the future.

Burnhams mother was always in the future that's why as I said before that she was trying to get in touch with Terralysium to find news on her mother what we need now is them to close the plot hole on how she went to no longer be on Terralysium Beta Quadrant and be on Vulcan (Ni'Var) Alpha quadrant with no warp capable ships and how she became a member of the Qowat Milat.

Although I like really like Tilly I think that it was stupid to put promote her as number one I think that the writers did this to get more fans on board she lacks experience as command . she does make good calls most of the time but again she lacks experience and it was very foolish to put her in that situation If they dont show her making bad decisions when she has to make quick decisions under pressure and I am very sure there will be allot of pressure being Number 1 they are after all the only ship that can get to locations that others would take months years to get to . so far in the series I haven't seen her being under that kind of pressure when the decision needs to be now not in 10 second or it will cost lives or to be more precise more or less lives or the price of the l;ife of a friend over the rest of the ship. those are command decisions but this is Discovery it always works out in the end . I admit I am being a little sarcastic hehe

The Vulcans really are idiots.
They are so stuck up their own backsides of logic that they cannot acknowledge that maybe their data is incorrect. There was little to be gained by assuming they were to blame for the Burn; they’ve basically spent a century feeling sorry for themselves and assumed they caused it and the Federation pushed them to it. Why did they not investigate it properly at the time or in the following years? Just seems like actual logic went out of the window in place of some sort of stubborn refusal to admit to being wrong?

Nice to get a return to the good old Trek court room episode though! And it was really nice to see reference to both TNG and Picard; nicely trying together all of the future of the Romulan and Vulcan people.

Technically another planetary body has appeared in Vulcan's sky in multiple previous instances of Trek, despite the quote from Spock in TOS that it has no moon.

Suggestion has always been that it's a sister planet, rather than a true moon.
