Well, with winter Wonderland coming back I would recommend people also pickup the Breen warp core and singularity core. It is the final piece to the Breen ship set and pretty good for Breen ships or some drain builds. The Breen weapons capacitor gives a boost in weapons power. I use the full set on my Breen Dreadnought and it goes great with polaron beam set weapons. It can hold it's own and suck the life out of ships energies, especially if you use the enhanced Breen console sets from the other Breen ships which you can pickup all in the Phoenix store if missed the past winter events. The Breen cores can only be bought in the winter store. I believe I have every warp core and singularity core on my main at epic. Lots of toys to play with and test out.

The ship looks pretty cool, I imagine when they've exhausted Fek'iri designs we'll see something new. I'd like the opportunity to reacquire ships that I missed though.

Hmm, a full carrier with 4/3 weapons slots. Might be a fun one to play around a bit with. The extra weapon slot compared to most carriers stuck with 6 total slots might make this a more competitive dps boat option, particularly since the lost souls pets are usually pretty solid.

Kar'fi was always a popular ship at T5 on KDF prior to T6 introduction looking at today's tweet about the winter ship they are also going to make the T5 Kar'fi, the S'kul fighters and the Fer'jai fighters available to all factions in-game as a result of it now being a winter event cross-faction ship sorta makes sense I guess.

7 weapon slot carriers are quite rare outside of flight decks and dreadnoughts. The Tzen-Tar with 5/2 and all its bells and whistles will of course be superior to this one. But this one has a commander science seat and compared to other T6 science carriers i guess it would compare to the Kelvin intel carrier warbird and the Vanguard carrier. Those two have 4/2 weapon slots, so one less, but the warbird has more universal bridge officer slots and can use the superior romulan droneships, seen as one of the best pets DPS wise. On the other hand the vanguard carrier has its vanguard wingmen mechanic (two wingmen boosted by the +polaron% damage of the parent ship) plus access to the deployable rear section and is more agile when rear section is deployed. Kelvin is lockbox and vanguard Cstore.

Lost souls are quite OP, almost broken when used with SAD though if reddit is to be beleved. Top DPS in the game for pets on those tests. So well see

Free is free - I'll grab it even if I don't fly it, at least all my toons will have access to a reclaimable ship and any gear on it. Otherwise it maybe awhile before it hits the phoenix store... regretting not getting it first time around... like Solace there...

I mean it's a science heavy admiralty card when we kinda lack in them unless you bought a lot of science ships off the c-store, plus you never know if your plans on what you want to fly some day may change...I know I've gone back and forth a lot over the years in STO.

Those new sweaters look swell. May end up grinding enough currency just to get them all. I don't like the ship and won't bother with it though.

The new ship is growing on me after watching the Ten Forward stream tonight. Apparently you can kitbash it along with the old T5 Kar'fi ship parts for some pretty notable visual differences, and seeing video of all the subtle animations on the ship made it apparent that the spot-lit still photo shot of it in the blog post really isn't doing it a lot of justice. I don't know that I'll switch over any of my toons to flying it long-term, but we've seen many more forgettable freebie ships than this thing. If nothing else, the big dilithium payouts after you complete the ship grind is always nice.

That trait....I'm not sure about it, sounds interesting kinda but probably just another weak trait that will be passed on.
