Currently re-watching it all and I am enjoying it. There's a few iffy episodes in S1 but once you get to the later half of S2 and into S3 it becomes pretty much your standard level of Trek TV quality.

Sadly some of the main cast are a bit dull and forgettable (Hoshi and the helmsman) but the rest are decent enough I think.

I love The enterprise D becuase it in my opinion hold more crew than the original and the bridge layout

Enterprise is a really underappreciated gem. It struggled to find its footing in the early seasons and definitely suffered due to it being shown on UPN who often cancelled its showing of Enterprise for some sports thing. It really picked up in S3 and S4 when the show got a new writer. It really mirrored DS9 in its own way because I think Season 5 would have boosted ratings for the show massively with the plans for a Earth-Romulan war arc, similarly how DS9's Dominion War arc did wonders for the show.

The pre release info on the opening credits was that they had U2: Beautiful Day and that they was hoping to get the rights for that to be the opening song again not sure it would have fitted myself also

Eeekk! Looks like we all dodged a bullet there!

I think the Archer theme works much better and fits in with Trek's orchestral themes over the rather iffy pop-country-rock nonsense. It would have been ok as a song on the radio or charts but not for a sci fi show like Trek, lol.
Thankfully Discovery, Lower Decks and Picard have all returned to their roots in that regard.

I particularly liked the way the ship felt more "real" because it wasn't all smooth panels and glowing consoles.

The engine room had loads of pipes and various workbenches all over the place. The sickbay actually looked like a medical facility. The bridge I think looked fantastic.
