Ben Hurley
Received a Promotion
We kick tonight off with a long serving member of the community, well known for his various hijinks and antics on the Teamspeak server. Joining in with a lot of other games with the community, Ben Hurley always lights up the room with his sense of humour. For his long standing service to the community, he’s welcomed to the Admiralty with a promotion to Commodore.
darthnovawave
Received a Promotion and 2 Medals
- Starfleet Cross
- Golden Starburst
- Rear Admiral
Our next member is both active amongst the community and spends much of his time here also managing fleet holdings for others on a near daily basis as part of his role as a Quartermaster in STO. Having spent over 2 years serving as a volunteer, his reliability and positivity is always on display, so it’s for these reasons that Darthnovawave is awarded with the Golden Starburst, the Starfleet Cross and a promotion to Rear Admiral.
Distant Knight
Received a Promotion and a Medal
- Personal Achievement Award
- Lieutenant Commander
This member is a regular attendee to our STO Special Operations events since joining the Community. During this time, In his time to date, his skill has improved in leaps and bounds, culminating at being at, or near, the top of the DPS charts, but that’s only a piece of what he’s known for. He has freely shared his knowledge both in leading teams and giving pointers, helped others out with gear and loot and stuck deals that would make a Ferengi jealous for duty officers. Frequently found in-game giving out advice, tips and tricks, it’s for these reasons Distant Knight is awarded with the Personal Achievement Award, and a promotion to Lieutenant Commander.
Gostlool
Received a Medal
One of the newest members of the UFP, this person has quickly settled in, giving out polite welcomes and happy birthdays to those who arrive. Friendly, active and making efforts to attend events as and when they can, they also actively engage in conversation while visiting Teamspeak. GostLool has adapted supremely well to the community’s Code of Conduct, so it’s therefore quite fitting that they are awarded with the Conduct Medal.
GriffinTalon
Received a Promotion and a Medal
Though quieter on the forums in recent months, our next member is no less active in the community, regularly attending events from Holodeck as he can. Noted for his teamwork and ability to come up with solutions and tactics in whatever title he might be playing, GriffinTalon is awarded with the Nebula Star and a promotion to Lieutenant.
Hektu
Received a Promotion and 2 Medals
- Legion of Merit
- Golden Starburst
- Commodore
Often on the move and busy with work, our next member juggles a busy schedule but so long as there’s a wifi connection be it from a nearby McDonalds or a hotel room, he’s never far away and always gives the best he can to events and to the community. Always offering advice and help to others freely, the efforts from Hektu have continued and held firm over the months, so these see him awarded with the Golden Starburst, the Legion of Merit and a promotion to Commodore.
Heyallo
Received 2 Medals
- Federation Order of Merit
- Red Crest
Though Holodeck doesn’t have a large staff, those that man the division always give it their best. This member, despite the time difference that means they can’t always host, always does as much as they can to provide a varied selection of titles and events to others to join as they can. Having a friendly nature and never too far away from the community, Heyallo is awarded with the Federation Order of Merit & the Red Crest.
Jestersmith
Received a Commendation
It had become something of a tradition in recent UFPACs that the commendations awarded went to folks that had already been mentioned during the ceremony, however tonight we break that as our first awardee comes into view. Jestersmith has demonstrated time and time again his dedication to the STO divisions, serving as the XO for SFO and has proven beyond all doubt that he was the right man for the job. Always available to help members and prepared to go the extra mile, he has already completed his medal bar and reached the rank of Admiral, therefore in recognition of his talents, he is given our first commendation of the evening.
Josh Broughm
Received a Medal
- Federation Order of Distinction
A former Ares Roleplay Project CO, this member took up the chair during a turbulent time for the division, one of the most difficult it faced in its history. They steered the project through thick and thin before deciding to take some time out and recharge their warp core. Despite that, they proved themselves willing to return and undertake the roleplay of a new supporting character to help build them up and others to build upon and around that. Their adaptation to the new formats and personnel has been exemplary and they’ve earned the respect of the department. For all these reasons, Josh Broughm is awarded with the Federation Order of Distinction.
Kiflin
Received a Medal
Staying aboard Ares for the moment, our next stop this evening is with the current CO of the division. Undertaking the department during a choppy period much like their predecessor who we’ve just mentioned, they’ve gone from strength to strength, continuing to rebuild and shore up the foundations for those new and old to return to. Having served in other roles prior to and alongside this, including his duties as an RSO with the Academy, he admirably combines his roles to give the most pleasant experience he can to everyone. Willing to help out where he can and having helped to stabilise the course of Ares with new approaches and ideas, Kiflin is awarded with the Legion of Merit.
KingTernel
Received a Medal
A consistent presence in the Ares Project, our next member this evening began writing during a training simulation that helped lead to the restart of Ares. Not afraid to take on a challenge, their efforts helped complete the simulation to test out Command and Science roleplays. Their writing and contributions included attention to detail, emotional development and all tied together with a humble, unassuming attitude which thrusts the reader directly into the character, rather than their author. For their efforts in helping Ares to pull out of dry dock, KingTernel is awarded with the Nebula Star.
LogicalLeopard
Received a Promotion and a Medal
One of the oldest participants in Ares, they’re essentially part of the division's furniture at this point, best envisioned as a rock in the middle of the activity to provide a safe port in the hustle and bustle of the project. Their help and willingness to pitch in with attracting new members, ideas for characters and directions to take the story were all instrumental in assisting the Ares CO with the revamp of the division. LogicalLeopard, as the Lead Simulation Officer, has the responsibility of keeping the various players alive in the story and it’s a balancing act of leadership, hard work and creativity behind the scenes to steer everything in the right direction. For his dedication and long service to Ares, he is awarded with the Red Crest and a promotion to Commander.
Morris
Received a Promotion
We depart Ares now and head off into the big black to find our next award recipient tonight. A well known and long standing member who made it 10 years with the UFP earlier this year, they hold several volunteer roles and perform all of them with dedication and commitment, alongside both attending and hosting events in STO. In recognition of their service to the division and community at large, Morris is awarded with a promotion to Vice Admiral.
MrNeal
Received a Medal
Keeping a theme going with STO, our next member serves the division as a Quartermaster, ensuring that projects are processed and items aren’t lost in the wilderness. Frequently found outside of STO and his status reports wishing members a Happy Birthday, MrNeal is awarded for his service with the Federation Star.
NeoTrident
Received a Medal
- Federation Order of Merit
Though our next member is no longer as active as they once were, they have returned to playing STO and behind the scenes they are still willing to assist as able, so they are no less valuable now as they were back in previous days. Assisting the Fleet Admiral over the summer with the Starfleet Tournament that ran as a community discussion and event, NeoTrident’s ideas and research were crucial in bringing it to fruition, so it’s for these reasons he’s awarded with the Federation Order of Merit.
Petrarch
Received a Commendation
We keep with the break for our next member, who is someone that’s a regularly seen – or rather heard - UFPAC fixture but hasn’t been mentioned in it for a long time now. As Head of Community Gaming Petrarch is literally responsible for overseeing the UFP communities involvement and interaction in all of the games we love to play that are supported by the community. This involves an incredible amount of behind the scenes effort for which Petrarch is certainly deserving of recognition and commendation.
rastilion
Received a Promotion and 2 Medals
- Valor Award
- Legion of Merit
- Commander
A familiar face at events and elsewhere, our next member has become a vital piece of the Special Operations within STO, giving their time and knowledge as they can to others freely to ensure the game can be enjoyed by all to the best of their abilities. Fun to attend events with, regardless of them hosting or simply joining the team, Rastilion has left a good and lasting impression on those he encounters. For these reasons, he is awarded with the Legion of Merit, the Valour Award and a promotion to Commander.
Remsus
Received a Promotion and 2 Medals
- Combat Readiness Medal
- Starfleet Medal
- Commander
Having been with the UFP since 2020, Remsus has taken to the community like a duck to water, with a high level of activity, service and dedication across the board. Holding 3 volunteer roles and taking part in many events, he’s proven himself to be a man of many talents who wears many hats too. Friendly, helpful and polite, he’s often found keeping conversations going and his exemplary performance to date is surely just a sign of what’s still to come. For all these reasons, Remsus is awarded the Combat Readiness Medal, the Starfleet Medal and a promotion to Commander.
Ricwin
Received a Medal
One of our members very active in the STO section of the community, both in-game and on the forums, they are often found passing comment and opinions on updates & changes to the game itself, as well as contributing to the various discussions on a wide variety of topics including builds, ship choices and much more besides. For his contributions to the community, Ricwin is awarded with the Federation Star.
Seetherius
Received a Medal
Though much more active in-game than the forums, Seetherius has in his time with the community made a variety of contributions in relation to STO which have not gone unnoticed. In recognition of his time here, Seetherius is awarded the Federation Star.
Solace
Received a Promotion
Moving over to FAB now, this member is a diligent, hard working member of the division, not as a moderator but rather as part of the Community Graphics Team, being responsible for processing a large number of the signatures you see on the forums today. Carried out with a positive attitude and helpful leaning, for his service to date Solace earns a promotion to Vice Admiral.
Sythe
Received a Medal
Serving as a personnel officer and having just made it past the one year mark in that role, Sythe continues to excel in their duties with a timely and efficient approach to all that need their invites. For this reason, he is awarded with the Valour Award.
timverbesselt
Received 2 Medals
- Distinguished Service Cross
- Starfleet Cross
We’ve pruned away the branches and got to the root of the problem, so this time will be the final pun as we’re missing the wood for the trees. Found all across the forums in a multitude of discussions, they carry out their duties in a highly proficient manner and excels with a positive approach to all his dealings with the community. A long time member of the community who holds a number of volunteer roles, Timverbesselt continues to distinguish himself in the UFP. Therefore it’s appropriate that he’s awarded with the Distinguished Service Cross and the Starfleet Cross.
trekchu
Received a Promotion
We’ve seen a lot of Command rank promotions tonight, but now it’s time to switch things up a little and take a look at the enlisted ranks. This member is a regular attendee to events, often found on Teamspeak with his sense of humour on display. A delight to play with regardless of the game on deck, Trekchu is promoted to Chief Petty Officer.
WhiteMountain65
Received a Promotion and 2 Medals
- Red Crest
- Federation Star
- Senior Chief Petty Officer
The penultimate medal tonight also brings with it another enlisted promotion. A highly active member in the fleet forums, Teamspeak, and Star Trek Online, he can be found commenting on virtually all topics, but when his name is mentioned, it’s his Keto recipes which are the first thing to pop into people’s heads. During Special Operations events in Star Trek Online, he will be found providing an enormous amount of trivia and TV show references, helping to keep the conversations lively during these events. He is very friendly and willing to help out others. For these reasons, WhiteMountain65 is awarded with the Federation Star, the Red Crest and a promotion to Senior Chief Petty Officer.
Yuki
Received a Medal
And we bring the medals to an end with our final member this evening. Keeping with a common thread of members who may initially appear quieter than others, this does not mean they’re any less noticeable than the next person. A common sight in the birthday threads, handing out well wishes to others, Yuki’s contributions to make the day brighter for others has not gone unnoticed and for this reason they are awarded with the Federation Star.
