With us now just 1 week from the release of Star Trek Picard Season 3 ep.1, What are you hoping to see, What do you expect to see across the series and episode 1. And if you have crazy wish that probably won't come true, (but you never know) let us hear them too!

Personally, I am looking forward to seeing all the old TNG cast come back and hoping to see some great looking ships introduced or ported over from STO. As for my crazy wish. I would love to see Captain Shon in some capacity even if it may be at a lower rank and station it would be a great nod to STO from a show that isn't afraid to show they use STO content. Also I can't wait to see the Enterprise F in a show at last.

I’m excited to see the cast get back together for one final hurrah, its gonna be cool to see some new and old faces again. I’m hoping we get more than fan service “pop ins” especially with Moriarty showing up again, hopefully tie off that story thread in a nice little bow. Also super excited to see Lore return again!

Looking forward to it, but I suspect they will kill off at least 1-2 characters just for shock value. I'd much rather see my child hood heroes ride off into the sunset (retirement). We don't need any pointless Tucker take one for the team deaths. Having already seen Data die twice, please no more on my old heart.

Tonight I saw this thread appearing on Reddit, supposed to be an official account with the information coming from the show writers, but I don't know, I've not looked into it too deeply.

Anyway, it mentions the Enterprise-F in the rundown and according to it, the ship entered service in 2386. I think Season 3 of Picard has another time jump and picks up in 2403/4, so that would make about 18 years max. The bit that's annoying if true, is that the log positions the F as due for decommissioning. So it either gets hauled out of mothballs or goes off to them at the end if this stuff proves true. The boast about the Inquiry being the toughest, fastest and most powerful ship Starfleet has ever had back in Season 1 would perhaps lend some weight to the idea that the Odyssey class may be slightly older in Picard rather than fresh out of the docks. It would also tie in to something Matalas said; "It's about the mileage. Flagships take a beating, even the F is getting up there."

A major cop out if it is. They wheel it out and kill it off in the same breath. There are some errors in what they've said, though the fear yet another Enterprise will get finished off may be gaining traction.

I hope thats not true, I was hoping they’d take a page out of STO’s book with the timeline stuff. The Odyssey is a beautiful ship and I’d hate to see it get binned so quickly in favour of the most generic looking ship that is the Inquiry class

Not really they are just using the assets that belong to them and save them money otherwise they would have to design new ships.

This would be really disappointing if they decide to both show off and then get rid of the F in the same show. However both Prodigy and Lower Decks are set in the 2380's so a chance it could pop back up in them if we are lucky but I'm not holding my breath on that. I was really hoping they would have it's commissioning date be a bit closer to 25th century to half cannonise some STO story stuff rather than basically declare everything with the F in it to be against the story of the show. Hopefully there will be a minor refit on the F to get it back into service for the 25th century after a battle or something to allow it to last into the 2410's.

TBF unless another live action series set in this era happens we're not gonna see the Odyssey class any other time on screen like this once series 3 ends.
So it may as well go out with a bang.
