Honestly this episode was much better than the whole Season 1 and 2 lol. Just hearing First Contact theme on the credits made my heart happy.
Let's just hope the next episodes keeps this quality.

It would make a certain amount of sense for it to be 10 years later. Picards new golem body would last another 20-ish years or so, not to mention he’s now a retired Admiral when we know he was at least somewhat active in s2.

I can see S3 finishing up Picards story with him probably dying.

I got curious about the big ship at the end of the episode, it seemed to have a familiar look to it, but when I went looking thru the STO large ships, nothing really seemed at all similar. My first thought was that it had a Jem'hadar look, but no, the big ones aren't pointed. Perhaps one of our more knowledgeable at ship identification types could shed some light here?

I'm just wondering who the bad guys are of course, knowing that the writing team will wring that out into bad guys working for other bad guys working for good guys who are after bad guys or something like that.. and who's this clown at the Titan's command chair? I'm not up enough on Star Trek minutae to place him, but I'm thinking that Seven isn't really in all that much trouble once word of this huge ship gets out..

I have now seen the episode and it was a great start to the season. Titan-A looks great and was a very reminiscent of the movies with that go around and leaving space dock. Raffi being part of what looks like 31 is interesting and I am interested to see how that plays out. I do hope Seven is not kicked out of starfleet but if they try it I hope the TNG and maybe Voyager crew can stop that from happening. I do hope the Enterprise F gets a refit rather than the decommissioning it so it can continue with that refit.

So I've done some checks and the in universe date of the first episode of Star Trek enterprise is April 16 2151 as according to Memory Alpha. In this episode we see Hoshi Sato get recruited to the NX-01 Enterprise. Then in the contested episode 'These are the Voyages' in the first ten seconds Travis says to Hoshi that she will need to readjust to the humidity after ten years aboard the ship. Later in this episode we see the signing of the articles of the Federation. As this is the 250th Frontier day, if Frontier day is a celebration of the signing of the Federation Charter then the date is closer to 2411 (2411-250=2161).

However if Frontier day is a celebration of the creation of Starfleet, especially United Earth Starfleet (As Memory Alpha claims while also saying in 2401), then the date would more likely be 2401 with United Earth Starfleet being created in the same year the Enterprise is launched. (2401-250=2151)
To me this feels really weird, I don't have any quotes to back up Starfleet not being created like 4 months prior to the NX-01s launch but the amount of people they must have just given out ranks to members of other forces even though I'm pretty sure I remember Reed being in the Academy in some storyline which messes up the story.

I just can't see this big song and dance for a almost entirely human ship that I'm pretty sure was retired before being admitted into Federation service and therefore not even a part of the Federation even if it's crew were but Star Trek has always been very Human centric so who knows.

Frontier Day sounds definitely to celebrate the launch of the first Earth Deep Space Exploration Vessel.

Starfleet was also already active in 2143 with the NX-Project.

Doesn't relate to the episode itself, but found a shot of the F that's taken from one of the trailers, don't recall seeing this one before. There's a Luna, a Ross and what appears to be another Odyssey in the background but I can't make the rest out.

According to the Star Trek Logs Instagram account (a tie-in account to all the "Nu Trek" show releases over the past few years), the Enterprise-F was launched in 2386 and after 15 years and several captains it is slated for decomissioning after its final flight on Frontier Day. Based on this, the official year at the start of Picard Season 3 would be 2401, which as you noted lines up to the NX-01 Enterprise launch, not the Federation Charter signing a decade later.

Question: is it just me or did the unknown ships that attacked the Crushers (not the big one, the little ones earlier) look suspiciously like Jem'hadar attack ships, just yellow/orange instead of purple?

The little ones were actually from STO, a reuse of the Elachi frigate model.
