Hey all, so I thought I would share a little real life story from me this week. I work in communications for my local county council and they foolishly asked me to manage the delivery of this year's county show tent, where we rock up for two days as a council and engage with local people about all sorts of things the council is involved in. This year we decided to make the theme "The Future" and sold it to the bosses as an opportunity to discuss the future plans we have for the county... whilst at the same time knowing we were going to go full time machine inspired sci-fi. So of course we picked a DeLorean from Back to the Future as a centre piece and a whole lot of Dr Who to get people in our tent for photos and such - needless to say we were swamped with people over the course of the two days... just an awesome time where work and hobbies combine.

The people loved it, the staff loved it, the politicians... well I think they warmed to it eventually

Not Star Trek I know, but thought I would share some snaps from the day anyways:

The DeLorean on the set up day (just as well, I couldn't get near it when the gates opened)

The whole thing was really authentic, all the lights and switches taken directly from the movie prop so I was told.
