We kick tonight off with a member who holds roles in SFA, FNS and is a regular player in the Ares Project. While the challenge of recruitment can at times be difficult to master, this person has risen to the task at hand, demonstrating an ability to address and conquer issues in creative ways and some out of the box thinking. Showing a willingness to help members both new and old alike, he also provides a welcoming presence and is one of the first seen by new arrivals, be that in public or private messages. In his role as XO of SFA, he has constantly proven himself - and to the UFP at large - that he was he right man for the job and has helped it go from strength to strength since he took up the role. An effective communicator who goes out of their way to make the experience better for all, Alexrider sees himself awarded with the Federation Order of Distinction, Nebula Star and the Red Crest, making it a triple burstfire right out of Spacedock!

A member often found all over the forums including the build section for STO, he’s always on call to offer advice on these regardless of the type. Also functioning as a Quartermaster and handling fleet invites, he’s earned the respect and friendship of his fellow community members. The efforts of Darthnovawave see him awarded with the Federation Order of Merit, Medal of Excellence and despite a request to see the first official demotion of UFPAC, we disagree and instead he will also be joining the Admiralty with a promotion to Commodore.
DeWolfe

A returning member to the community, this member had some confusion over their account, having forgotten the details of their original username. Though this is something that could have been missed, DeWolfe was open and honest about the situation, liaising with their RSO to ensure they were doing things correctly and following the Code of Conduct to avoid any misunderstandings. For their honesty, Dewolfe is awarded with the Conduct Medal.
Distant Knight
Received a Promotion and a Medal
A frequent attender to STO events and often found in-game, Distant Knight joins in where he can as often as he can. Noted for an unconventional approach to his builds, he shares these out and advice on them for others to learn and compare. His knowledge has grown over time and continues to do so and it’s for this, alongside his regular attendance that he’s awarded with the Nebula Star and a promotion to Commodore.

An active member of STO contributing to build discussions both to assist others and improve upon his own setups, he participation has not gone unnoticed, doubly so due to the RL mini-blog he shares bits and pieces of with the community. A friendly, pleasant member willing to share aspects of his life away from the UFP, the activities that Draxx gets involved with see him awarded with the Starfleet Medal and a promotion to Petty Officer 1st Class.
Hektu

Sticking again with STO, this member is highly active in-game and is frequently found to be queuing up for events with his helpful, friendly and positive attitude showing through. Though perhaps not as active on the forums as other members, his presence is no less felt and that’s why Hektu is granted the Valour Award.
Heyallo

Always active in the community and one of the few that regularly use our unofficial Discord, he continues to keep the conversation going and approaches everyone in a friendly manner. Never too far away despite the large time difference he has to many in the UFP, Heyallo sees himself awarded with the Golden Starburst and a promotion to Vice Admiral.

A frequent contributor to the various Star Trek series discussions, they can also be seen sharing their thoughts on a wide variety of topics across the UFP. Always well received, polite and genuine in their discussions, they’re a pleasure to talk to and are an example of the community spirit when interacting with others whatever the topic may be. This is why JByb04 is awarded with the Fleet Loyalty Commendation and the Valour Award.

A long serving member of the UFP having been here now for 14 years after originally appearing in 2009, they are one of the oldest members we have, with only a handful of others with longer service and I believe one of only 2 who are still regularly active on a day to day basis and hail from that era of the UFP. This member tried out a few roles and ended up in the command seat for the Ares Project, bringing it some much needed stability during a time of turmoil. Under their watchful eye the department has rebuilt and relaunched itself over the last year or 2, their guidance, direction and story ideas have helped to shore up the foundations of Ares and allowed others to keep building upon them. Not limiting themselves to Areas, they will share their thoughts and opinions on a wide variety of topics across the community and have proven themselves to be a valuable asset to it. It’s for these reasons that Kiflin is awarded with the Federation Order of Distinction and a promotion to Vice Admiral.

An active member of the Ares Project, our next member has shown themselves to be willing to help with both new players to the game and offering ideas of how to take the plot forwards. He recently took on an expanded role to help provide others with avenues for RP, rather than remaining as part of the main plot thread. Showing a strength of character and commitment to the division to help it improve and develop, Krajin is awarded with the Meritorious Service Medal.

A long term member of the UFP and a resident streamer, this member showcases his adventures in STO and has even attracted the attention of the Cryptic devs, having them as guests on his show from time to time. As someone who always seems to have time for people, his journey is far from over and keeps moving forward into the future. Kyuusaku is awarded with the Medal of Excellence and a promotion to Rear Admiral.

A long serving member of the STO Fleets, acting as both a Quartermaster amongst the virtual cabinets, they’ve shown an unwavering commitment to maintaining the Fleet holdings alongside the banking duties. He continues these efforts week in, week out to ensure things run smoothly and members can find what they’re looking for. For his service and dedication, MrNeal is awarded with the Fleet Loyalty Commendation, Meritorious Service Medal and an extra pip on his collar with a well earned promotion to Captain.

A long time contributor to the Ares Project, this member eventually rose to become the XO of the division, providing a helping hand at a time it was most needed. Developing and brainstorming new ideas, directions and plot threads, they’ve continued the tradition they started many years ago to help steer Ares through the stars. In recognition of their service and contributions, Nesta is awarded a Fleet Loyalty Commendation.
Neurum

A newly minted addition to the UFP, just approaching the end of his first month with us, they have already proven themselves to be respectful, helpful, understanding and positive in their interactions with others, demonstrating an ability to work towards a goal in a patient manner. Surely a sign of things to come in the year ahead, Neurum starts his medal bar with the Conduct Medal.
NightZombie

A regular to STO and recently branching out into Diablo IV events, they’ve proven themselves to be a deft hand in guiding others through some of the game’s tougher content and dungeons, saving the collective backsides of many. Friendly, highly active and willing to lend a hand to help, we hope to see more of Nightzombie in upcoming and future events. For his efforts with helping others, he is awarded the Red Crest.

One of the STO Special Ops Commanders, this member regularly hosts events and organises the teams, frequently filling in for others when they are unable to attend. Ready to offer advice and assistance were it’s needed, they also help others to improve their builds and playstyle, be it a full overhaul or just a few tweaks here and there. Polite and helpful, their enthusiasm rubs off on everyone new and old alike and they’re known to recently dabble in Diablo IV while away from Spacedock. And that’s why Rastilion is awarded with the Medal of Excellence, Red Crest and a promotion to Rear Admiral.

Dedicating a lot of their time to the UFP, our next member stands ready in the wings to help out and fill in when others have matters to attend to back in real life. Performing their duties in FNS and Ares the same today as they did when they first started, they have carried themselves with a high distinction, seizing the initiative when it presents itself to put forward opinion, comment and ideas, he has shown himself to be someone willing to go that extra mile to get the job done. The hard work carried out by Ravensplat now sees him awarded with the Meritorious Service Medal, Starfleet Medal and a promotion to Commander.

An old hand in the Academy, this member has always carried out their RSO role in a helpful and timely manner, ready to say hello and welcome new recruits into the community, helping out whenever he can. Also functioning as a moderation with FAB, he acts as a both a virtual guide and watch dog. Showing good performance on both fronts, Redking is awarded with the Starfleet Cross and a promotion to Captain.

Next up is another old hand, but in STO this time. Acting as a dedicated Quartermaster, filing away in the virtual bank making sure things are accounted for and tidy, they’ve been squirrelled away in the office for many years now but their service has not gone unnoticed which is why Redshift is granted the Personal Achievement Award.

Another member of the STO team who acts as a Quartermaster and Personnel officer, carrying out their responsibilities accurately and efficiently, they have also taken over the role of the STO patch notes as they become available, which had big shoes to fill. With a keen sense of humour, he’s appreciated for his lively conversations while attending events and his interactions with the community at large on the forums. Also handling projects in-game, Remsus has shown himself to be a man of many hats and it’s for these reasons he’s awarded with the Distinguished Service Cross, Medal of Excellence and the Meritorious Service Medal.

A highly active member who also serves as a Personal Officer, dutifully processing requests and making sure people get slotted into the right fleets, they recently passed the 11 year mark with the UFP, showing just how long they’ve been with us and are practically a piece of the furniture at this point. For his service, Sythe is awarded with the Federation Star.

Though one of our quieter members where the forums are concerned, this person is no less active for it, frequently found elsewhere and in-game, always interacting with others in a friendly and respectful manner, willing to freely share his knowledge, tips and tricks with everyone else. For these reasons, White Knight is awarded with the Conduct Medal and a promotion to Chief Petty Officer.

Our final member in medals tonight is someone who hasn’t been here all that long, but has risen quickly through the ranks of the community. Always friendly and showing his dedication to the UFP, he has achieved much in a short time, jumping in with both feet to make an impact and taking on more responsibilities. Processing boundless energy and a keen eye for material, they found themselves within FNS, contributing well written and detailed articles. His efforts saw him recently becoming the XO of the division, with his passion for the writing craft stronger than ever. Supporting and assisting the other contributors to FNS which maintaining his own work, Woorlord has seen to it that a regular stream of content keeps rolling off the presses and out the doors to the community. For his contributions, dedication and effort, he has earned the Personal Achievement Award, the Starfleet Medal and also the Valour Award
