    End of an era.

    My favorite role was when he played in Conan as Thulsa Doom. Ridicules costume but the man's acting presence made you believe he was for real.

    An iconic, instantly recognisable and defining voice of our generation. Thoughts with his family. Lord Vader aside, a role I loved of his was as the Red wizard Ommadon in Flight of Dragons.

    Very sad indeed. An amazing man, actor, and voice.

    He entertained in so many roles. His ability to breathe life into each character. Be it he was a villain, a hero, or a cartoon father figure made him stand out as one of the greatest talents of our time.

    From Darth Vader and Thulsa Doom to Mufasa, and so many more, his legacy is truly unforgettable.

    Very sad. Like the choir in heaven the stage play gets better and better.
    For a long time I didn't know he's the voice of Darth Vader because I watched the German dubbed version.

    This news hit me like a freight train when I woke up this morning. One of my favourite films (and also the first time I saw him, as opposed to hearing his voice) was in The Hunt for Red October (Which the Jack Ryan book series is also one of my favourites anyway). So, rest easy Admiral Greer.
