Enter the Dimensional Typhoon!

Our next major event is Dimensional Typhoon, and you can unlock the Typhoon Temporal Battlecruiser!

As conflicts escalate between variant Borg factions and the Aetherians across dimensional boundaries, the member factions of the Khitomer Alliance find themselves caught in a storm of crossfire that threatens multiple realities! From September 17th at 8am PT to October 17th at 12pm PT, you can participate in the “Dimensional Typhoon” event. This new event will find you facing all three variants of the Multiversal Borg.

(Console platform release dates will be announced at a later date.)

New Content

For the first time ever, one of our events is launching with three brand new pieces of content! Battle in our brand new TFO, “Royal Flush,” and our two new Patrols, “Out of Control” and “Unwanted Guests,” along with two classic TFOs to progress in this event. More information on this new content will be revealed in a later blog.

Event Progress

Participating in this event grants daily progress towards a Grand Prize – the Typhoon Temporal Battlecruiser, and a Pulse Phaser Weapon Back! More details on this new ship will be revealed in a later blog!

Pulse Phaser Weapon Pack

This pack contains six variants of the Pulse Phaser Weapons originally found in the Undiscovered Country Lock Box. Pulse Phaser space weapons have a chance to lower your target's damage resistance rating while increasing your own. Upon opening this pack, you’ll be able to choose from the following options:

Beam Array
Dual Beam Bank
Cannon
Dual Cannons
Dual Heavy Cannons
Turret

This pack is account bound, and not reclaimable. It will be granted to the character who claims the Grand Prize.

Earning this Grand Prize requires 20 daily progress, and Captains can earn daily progress once per account per day by playing any of the Task Force Operations or Patrols in the event. You will receive two daily progress for completing a TFO, and one daily progress for completing a patrol. They are as follows:

TFO: Royal Flush (NEW)
TFO: Battle of Wolf 359
TFO: Resistance of Starbase One
Patrol: “Out of Control“ (NEW)
Patrol: “Unwanted Guests“ (NEW)

Once Captains have obtained 20 points on their account, they can claim the Grand Prize Bundle listed above. After that, the event will still be playable, granting a scaling Dilithium reward that begins at 8,000 Dilithium Ore and scales by 1,000 Dilithium Ore for every day you participate in the event, up to a cap of 50,000 Dilithium Ore per day.

Captains will also have the option to purchase their remaining progress in the event with Zen. The price for this buyout will be pro-rated, based on the amount of progress a Captain has completed.

Is a nice looking ship mind you. Would need to see stats to even think about patching and playing for it.

Its an event ship so you earn it by completing the event

Don't only look at the ship, also have a look at at the console and the trait this ship will provide for you.

I'm just wondering if a typo is a typo if it exists in the original Star Trek Announcement as well as in the <pasted?> announcement here? lol

OTOH: I love the look of this ship and was wondering if anyone knows which show episode(s) it appears in so I could watch it/them. To get it, not only would I have to play the event, but I would have to develop a higher tolerance for large ships. I'm addicted to the speed of my M.W. Escort, and while I've observed and been informed it could be a more powerful build, it's a lot of fun to fly. It doesn't stop me from wanting a ship and getting it, but deciding afterward to invest the time in setting it up to do battle. I'll just say that I have quite a few characters in game that don't get the love they deserve because once I leveled them up, I didn't like the turn rate & speed. I would love to break this bad habit; but since I know so little about the benefits of a larger ship, I'm open to arguments. I will be following closely a discussion here once we have the specs.

And yes, my M.W. Escort, could I have picked a more useless specialization. I confess it comes from being a fan of Geordie and engineers in general. But picking that ship for my Tactical only reflects on my ignorance of the game when I got it and decked it out. At least the Gold weapons & consoles can be used most anywhere. But I can't help but wonder if my interest in the Temporal specilization will be as misplaced as my Miracle Worker ship for my Tactical.

Do we know if this will be available account wide, or only on the character that picks it up first?

--> All ships you get from events are account wide unlocks, you can claim them on every toon over the reclaim tab.
When the game is back on I will addmend this post with a screenshot, where to reclaim.

Only the "Pulse Phaser Weapon Pack" is a one time claim.

I was just shy of getting it for free. But I'd still buy it at an 80% discount.
