Hello, everyone! I’m Mazoue (pronounced mah-zoo), and I’d like to reintroduce myself to both familiar faces and new friends.

I’m a French Canadian from New Brunswick, now living in Toronto with my partner and our 2-year-old cat. I work as a Technical Support Coordinator at a local hospital.

My love for Star Trek began in childhood, with fond memories of watching reruns of the original series. Though, I would argue I grew up with Star Trek: The Next Generation. I got to start Star Trek Online finally in 2012 - which I had pre-ordered but never fully explored. This was after feeling overwhelmed by the drama in the World of Warcraft community I had helped build and manage. I discovered the UFPlanets community shortly after I started playing STO and decided to join on November 24, 2012.

Since then, I’ve enjoyed participating in events with my main character, Milo Landry@mazoue in the STO Division. I also wrote role-play fiction for our former SIMMs, served as a Recruit Support Officer, and even held roles as XO and CO of the Academy. I was later honoured to be voted on the Federation Council as the Councillor of Andoriabefore taking a break to explore other gaming interests.

Now, after some time away (and a pandemic!), I’m excited to return to a franchise I love. While I may be more casual in my involvement, I’m genuinely happy to be back with all of you!

Welcome back! It’s great to see returning members as much as new ones. Great re-introduction it sounds like you’ve had quite the gaming journey.

Looking forward to possibly seeing you in some events soon, even if it’s just for a bit of a chat or some casual gameplay!

Welcome back, I'm one of the members who has popped up in the interim of your time here. It sounds like you were plenty busy when you were here last. I certainly know the feeling, if you ever want to look at returning to the Roleplay side of it all I'm currently the Lead Sim Officer and would be happy to get your character from then back in, or we can set you up with something new too. You'll also notice we now have our own Technical Support team so feel free to send us any errors, bugs or requests you have with the site.
But most of all I hope you enjoy your return, as someone who is still pretty new to the forums I am always happy to see old faces returning, especially as it gives me hope if I ever have to take a break I will come back round soon enough again.
