Let me introduce myself, I am Not-a-Trekkie-Trekker, I live in France, more precisely in the northeast of the Frenche-Comté region, which you know as the region where Jean-Luc Picard was born, and I am close to the Alsace region, where our UPT CO lives. I recently registered in July. but I was visiting this community as a guest before.

As my nickname indicates, I am not a Star Trek fan, well, I have never watched a Star Trek in my life, neither a movie nor a series, so if you are asking the question "Why did I register on a community dedicated to this franchise?" Well, it is because I like the way you manage the community (here I am talking about departments and divisions.)

So far, I do not participate often on the forums, with only two threads to my credit (one of which was deleted to be honest).

There, I will try to participate a little more, for example, I would be potentially interested in applying for a volunteer position (I am thinking of volunteering in the Starfleet Holodeck division, either as a Gaming Specialist or as an Executive Officer, so one of the two positions open at the moment in this division).

Welcome aboard. There is no prerequisite that one must be a Star Trek fan to join and participate... and perhaps hanging around us might in fact change that.

Close, I'm originally from Rheinland-Palatinate but these days I live near Frankfurt in Hesse. Not by choice I might add, but the job keeps me here unfortunately... You could say I'm not the biggest fan of the greater Frankfurt area and Hesse in general

Yes, I prefer Rheinland Pfalz. There are certainly IT jobs around but there is no denying that the jobs around Frankfurt, Bonn or Cologne are more lucrative. Myself, I'm CISO for company, I'm doing that for close to 8 years and I have no interest in moving on yet

Sunfire, maybe you can enjoy the flavors of your Land, thanks to the radiowaves. I see that there are public (SWR) and private radio stations (RPR1, bigFM, Rockland Radio...) from RP broadcasting not far from Frankfurt, here are some transmitters that broadcast these radios:

There are other transmitters - high or low power E.R.P - which are distant, but I think they could possibly receive in the area, thanks to the fact that some of these transmitters are located in mountains.
