Greetings UFP, I'm Mike Fleet Admiral and founder of Starfleet S.W.A.T.
I have recently applied to join your armada and wanted to introduce myself. I'm originally from New England (US of A), but now am what Floridians call a damn yankee and proud of it 
. I love technology, playing tennis, PC gaming. I've had a lot of jobs thus far in my life, mainly in the food service industry and security work. Since I've been in Florida (4 years now), I've got into taxi driving and have a home business. For the future I'd like to serve in the Navy for at least 1 contract of 4-6 years (hopefully this upcoming fall I'll be enlisting) and doing techy stuff for the FBI after that. I'm a big fan of both Star Trek and Star Wars, if it came down to a choice I'd be ONLY slightly more inclined to pick Star Trek over Star Wars personally. Sci-fi stuff in general interests me as well and I've been fascinated with ST and SW since I was introduced to them at an early age and grew up with Sisko and Janeway.
I've been in STO really active to not so much on and off since STO has been F2P. I've been a PC gamer for quite some time, but I was able to experience some great series on X-box like Halo and Mass Effect (LOVE THAT ONE and have the first and soon ME2 on my PC via Steam). My first MMO experience was in Star Wars Galaxies, which I was really loved and hated when it ended. But then STO come about in the midst of all that and I really enjoy STO. Then of course SWTOR came out and I'm in a guild there but in a member role and only casually play that game now, I use to play it non-stop but since my primary characters are finished with the main storyline content, I now try to balance my gaming time between STO and TOR. I use to be in a management role for and long term member of a SWAT 4 guild called |SOG| (Special Operations Group), after it died off, which I was sad about, that's when I migrated over to MMOs. I do still enjoy FPS that have a great story to them like Mass Effect and going back a bit, Half-life. Originally I created Starfleet S.W.A.T. with some others from my old guild |SOG| that either liked ST or liked STO for the visuals and something different in the PC gaming world. So we kinda took the name from our last game (game's theme) together and incorporated it into STO. Since then as with any fleet, it grew and shrank and grew and shrank (keep it G ppl). Currently it is a small fleet with only 1 remaining original member who has become from the beginning the fleet first officer also from the old SOG days. We are pretty casual in STO these days, the first officer however does play a bit more then me . Ok that's a good place to stop before I type an entire novel
I look forward to hopefully joining forces with UFP, I have always admired UFP and love the structure and professionalism and have had nothing but great communication with the leaders in this early process of the formation of armadas.

Welcome to the UFP Fleet Admiral! I played Galaxies too until just before Jump to Lightspeed dropped, it was fun but I just found that it took too long to do anything significant with the limited play time I had available.
